Look at that in Sony's eyes though, someone just bought a PS3 for full price then destroyed it, which means that they won't ever have to pay to get it replaced or refurbish it at their expense.

Sony have a legal agreement with Ebay that PS3s can never be sold on Ebay so that Sony don't lose any more money.

We have like 200, maybe 250 in our shop for launch, but the people that put their deposit down are only guaranteed a Wii over the weekend, after that it can be sold to anyone else coz of demand.

(Japan) PS3 Caught Up Xbox 360 Already ...

In just 4 weeks the PS3 managed to catch up the Xbox 360 already in Japan.
In the week of November 27th to December 3rd the PS3 sold 31436 units in Japan putting the total for the 4 week since launch to 187836 units, which beats the ~178k Xbox360s sold since launch over a year ago.
Will be interesting to see if the Xbox 360 manages to come back a bit next week with the launch of Blue Dragon.
