Rando12m, that's the whole point about clans, but you and I seem to be the only ones who actually realize this.

As for deja, trust me, at 39 I can tell you real life is like this... you can't always choose who to work with, people change and certainly holding grudges is bad for your health. There's no sport in slander... Games are for kids, I like sport and to play with sporting players. Seems to be a lack of this these days in DX. Just hate and subterfuge...

DX is vulnerable to abuse, you can not alias in Xbox and in Xbox, rant forums or lobbies are part of the game, at least in Tom Clancy games they are... I doubt this community will ever keep comments like "deja's dog" to the rant section...

You guys are forgetting something:

Responsibility of a clan tag is nothing. When you wear the clan tag, you can choose to represent the clan or not. For example, in clanwars, it is mandated to wear the tag for representation of your clan. But in normal feuds and gameplays, the tag means that you are a member of the clan. Where did you get the idea that whatever you do reflects upon the tag that you wear?

You are an individual person, and your individuality is represented by your name. Your tag is a reminder of the clan that you are in, and most of the time, not a representation.

As for responsibility, well think of it this way:

Doctor saves a patient; he represented his hospital for this.
Doctor argues what a patient should take for medicine; he represents himself for this.

If I walk around with -c[A]t- this simply means that I want people to know that I am in [A]. But when I argue with someone, I do not represent my clan for it. This is common sense; no one would represent something they do not agree with.

Hard to explain but I think you can get the big picture.

A tag is not a uniform, remember, a clan tag is symbolizing what group of clanmates you have, basically reflecting your friends. And if you do something that you friends do not agree with, you are not representing your friends.

If u say so, I guess I take it more seriously than that.

I take a tag to mean a kind of achievement. "wow you got into A, well done" etc... something to be proud of, something to fight hard for to be the best etc.

You're right, ultimately its about friends and improving your game, but it is also about teamwork and fighting to win together... involves a certain amount of trust... which is why one member shouldn't let down the others with sub-standard behaviour, and why clans have rules and leaders etc...

Anyway I'm angry that my server launch got hijacked by Alex.
Despite listening to him and changing my ways, no good came out of it, he just continued his "do.things."

I was just asking a question, not being negative. I don't class myself as a 0-augger/augger as I just play the game and would rather not get into that bullshit. I'll play whatever's going...

Most paid for servers are better than hosted ones from home because companies get the best performance out of them. Take Ste's for example as it is the best server in DX at the moment for pings (even some USA get good ping there 0_o).

I didn't say anything to Alex as that's not my place, that would be Dae's, which is why he did say something.

This isn't an attack towards you, I don't have many personal gripes over the internet with DX, only with certain photoshop rippers.

I only said something in the first place to extinguish an argument before it inevitably got out of hand. I said it to you because you were the centre of the whole thing. I am a forum guard at the end of the day...

DejaVu killed RPG for a significant period of time; I couldn't host for ages! I obviously like a good match on BFP2, but I like to relax and socialise with people on an RPG server too. It's making a come-back now though. ^_^.
