Cyberpunk theme

Postby Josh_Stargunner » Mon Apr 09, 07 4:46 pm

Hey guys, the project I am working on with Scarf at the moment would be best suited to a cyberpunk theme. Can people please give me some pointers to making it more...well, cyberpunky?

if you are going for single-player campaign mod then look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dystopia

also watch some cyberpunkish/dystopian films: blade runner, v for vendetta, equilibrium, a scanner darkly and some of the other ones mentioned in the above wiki for more scope and thematic

use similar ideas if you are aiming at the multiplayer mod, but ask yourself different questions on what your multi mod may "achieve" in terms of DX and gameplay as the two targets

Keywords: depression, lower classes, hookers, drugs, clubs, metropolitan area, night, bribable bureaucrats, system, corporations ruling the world, weak government replaced by corporations, illegal technology, giant technological network (like the Internet), artificial intelligency, total surveillance and, of course, outsiders fighting with this sort of stuff.
