I just finished watching the movie 2012. What you guys thinking about an total conversion simlar to 2012 concept but following after the events of deus ex? If anyone is intrested in assitance in creation of this mod please contact me via pm or email. administrator@shadowserversystems.com

Tip

It's Deus Ex, and this community is based on that, so avoid cliche where possible.

I would suggest to come up with a skeleton script idea first, and then build a more thorough script from that. Once you have a good idea of what you want to do, then consider what resource you will need and go from there.

I haven't seen the film, heard it wasn't that great anyway.

(A skeleton script would be event based. JC went to statue of liberty to fight terrorists, he went to unacto, he then went to NYC to elimate various hostage situations and then power down a generator, etc....)

Building cracking from here and there?!


I'd say that this project would be very hard for DX.

Big explosions in dx is a horrible idea. By doing so you raise FPS which we all know what results from that... Lag and if you're super lucky GPF! Wooo go GPF.. nothing funner than crashing the game on a nice Sunday Afternoon.

There's a reason why there is only 1 LAW rocket in the tube, why the GEP Gun takes a while to reload, and why you do not find many explosive crates in groups.

I said possible, meaning.. like.. yeah. for example.. That ship map blows and all, you have to run.. Or one of the endings. Not really that much FPS getting down.

Better to throw you're ideas around, instead of keeping them to yourself.

My mod DXAG (everyone can start yawning and going to sleep now, old news) only really started because I just had a thought and pitched it on this forum.

I wouldn't bother to try to make any kind of mod for DX now, and not because it's not worth it, it's just there is now a serious lack of resource and support.
