Human Revolution Mod Trailers before Christmas.

The mod will release some trailers before Christmas.

We got off our lazy butts and made this:

It gets upto 160 hits per day, minimum of 65 and average of 130 perhaps.

We have some official wallpapers in Development. Feel free to improve on them or make something better, we will love you, make a portrait of you in one of the maps, give you the code to the secret room in the Hive Bar. We can supply you with the Human Revolution font.

Is this a joke? You're releasing wallpapers and trailers for nothing more than some maps?

I might have missed a trick here, is there any modification to the usual DXMP, or is this just literally a bunch of new textures and map files?

I don't believe too much effort was put in to that part. As you can see, none of those logo's are feathered by even 3 pixels.

Also, what's up with the linux logo being placed twice? Smaller version right inside a larger version. Or was that also the case with the original DX case?

I think some of you misunderstand what this about. It's just a teaser. The mod acts as a PR project to create interest in DXMP. It's definitely having a tangible effect.

And no, it's not just a map project, hence why it is called a modification.

The point is, people will play it because it is relevant to DX3, and that is a positive thing.
Also there are opportunities to get Eidos more involved with DX1 again. Any support from them, even if only in PR form, is still substantial.

Average player numbers are up. 30 online quite regularly now. It's just the beginning.

Trailers are postponed due to the fact that the actual actor of Adam Jensen may get involved, subject to decisions by Eidos, also a French AfterEffects wizard has offered a hand, so postponing allows us to make a much better trailer.

I would say it's gone from 5-15 players to 20-35, we could wish for more, but that is a great start.

I would bet we can get back to 2006 figures easily. 40-60+, but for how long I don't know.

Officially that's naughty, but I have seen Eidos Montreal promoting DeusEx.pl on several occasions. They also seem to get material from EM that isn't released on other sites. DeusEx.pl has a link staring you in the face on the homepage, they must have seen it.

Maybe unofficially EM don't give a shit, they are part of SE, which had nothing to do with DX1.
They definitely think people playing DX1 is good.

Some progress, no more funny wallpapers, Cozmo started on playerclass, we're going to ask Clyzm about TMP and MP5 and stuff made in the past, the PEPS model is coming along, music coming out of our ears, coming to an end on the first two maps, two more under way, we'll release DXMP stuff in the meantime and as soon as a beta is possible, we'll make it public for the whole community to play and develop with us. Eidos also gave permission for Elias Toufexis to voice our comedy trailer.

No offense but this has nothing to do with Eidos really, just active people on Christmas, New year, holidays, etc

I agree that rise was largely Christmas, but obviously the more people post cool stuff on Eidos forums, the more people will try MP, we know for a fact two or three people stuck around and play regularly now. Also getting to play is not the only goal of this project. It seems that SDK is a likely release, and MP is much more unlikely, so DX1 modding is ever more relevant.

They do better promotion than shadowrunner!!!!!!!!!

Quite likely, since they have £40m budget, over 20,000 followers on various websites and have around 100 staff. That was the whole point in writing to them, because they do better promotion than Shadowrunner. It's what we asked them to do, and they have been happy so far to provide. It's what we want, so yep, they do better promotion.

Not only Tumblr, they posted on Deus Ex Central, Deus Ex Human Revolution, it was posted on his Twitter page during the hands-on testing and it was retweeted on the official Twitter page also, not sure if that was EM or DXHR.

Followers on those pages exceed 10,000 people, so we are grateful. Better than Shadowrunner indeed.

Yep, pretty much so, look now. Only two players roughly, One of them is Dogny sitting on his server, and other some random player on ZXC server.

Well I hope you achieve getting more players through this project.
