We Seek :
- Mapper’s ( Dont need further explanation )
- Detail Worker’s ( Mapper's That specialize into Texturing and Lighting and Adding Detail to the world.
- Texture Artist’s ( Create's Costum Texture's )
- Itemization Experts ( Generally Testsout and desides where the spawnpoints medbots item's lay around the map. - Req Alot of Exp trou online gameplay. )
Project :
PHOENIX is a Mp map package that mainly focusing on improving the fun of online gameplay.
A map pack that has some of the best looking map’s Yet to be seen in this game.
Map’s designed for all type’s of gameplay from Tanking to hacking to 0 augs to augplay.
Requirement’s :
Atleast 5 year’s of experience with UnreadEd , Photoshop ,
And for the Itemization atleast 4 years of experience in deusex while having experience in both auged gameplay and 0 augs.

Reasons for this project :
This game have one of the best gameplay that a shooter can ever have but for the online game’s have a few downside’s 1th of all is that the engine and the game is outdated but with all these mods released these days that shoudnt be a problem but it brings us to reason 2.
Aside from the standart deusex maps The leveldesign and the quality of the Mp maps when it comes to deathmatches and tdm it is verry poor and not even talking about the verry poor designed funmap’s.
Our aim :
Is to create 2 or 3 verry well designed maps that is on par with the original maps from dxmp.

What I mean is the original aren't all the well designed, lol

This sounds a rather pointless task to be perfectly honest with you seeming as you require people to have a minimum of 5 years experience with UED, Photoshop, and Deus Ex however anyone who has played extensively and has all three of those qualities has left Deus Ex to persue other matters in life. Additionally there are quite literally hundreds of Deus Ex maps, many of which are very good quality, the majority of them are better quality than the original Deus Ex maps (the only 'decent' original map being Smuggler in my opinion).

No pretty much 95% of all the community maps that deusex has its how do i say it, verry crap designed.

The itemization and gameplay possibility's of standard maps far outdo the selfmade stuf atm.

See, it's projects such as this I would love to get involved in. Then I think to myself again. Why through such efforts to create maps for a game containing a minuscule amount of players, when I can use Hammer, etc.

However, I would love to get involved :/ I'll see what time I have.

Even if something doesn't get played, it's not really a waste imo - you still get more experience in modding from it, and maps (-textures) can still be converted to other Unreal games, added to a portfolio etc.

Btw, if anyone hasn't noticed, that Phoenix is a brush :o

Portfolio is the only good thing I can think about though.. and Id much rather use UE3 being that it's more modern.

aha billboards everywhere, also is that weapon rack a spawn room?, bad idea if open in that huge room for people to camp. (even if spawn protected, they can just wait and fire explosives)

That wep rack isnt a spawnroom its just there to switch weps if nessisary since its ctf the spawnrooms are at the flags.

I have no means to spoil the maps entire concept just yet. Wait for the finished version and find it out yourself and ill make sure evrything works perfectly

there is a turret yet but on the other side of the medbot there is a biobot acces.
Turret is there controllable once your team gathered 8 lp's and 8 mt's so u gain control of that area mainly. :shock:
