About Demorecs

Is it possible to make some kind of mod, which allows you to watch demorecs without the need for downloading the mods and such, or even allow you to know which mods were on the server + maps, if it was an old demo?

No.

To avoid problems with mods and GPFs, the easiest way is to convert to video and post to youtube, or like here:

You'll have to spend an hour to configure that, but after the whole process will only be taking less than 5 minutes. You'll have to have at least a couple of GBs of free disk space and quite fast computer. Fraps (www.fraps.com) - a recording program - if you're not willing to pay, launch your P2P program and find the latest crack3d version. Don't install a free trial from the official site then.

From our HQ wrote:If your computer isn't very fast, I'd recommend that you first make a demorec and then record a video, while playing the demorec.

Recording isn't hard — you need to get Fraps, then this program:
http://www.xilisoft.com/downloads/x-flv-converter.exe

In Fraps, go to Movie tab, set a folder for videos, then a hotkey, set to half-size and 25 fps.

Record a video in Fraps, then encode it to FLV via the second proggie (drag 'n' drop the file to it, then select it, then in the right column set video size to 352x240).

Then upload the file.

The flash .flv player I use on the site:
