EDIT:

In addition. It is confirmed to be based on an Unreal engine, after opening DX2Game.d2u in notepad. Seriously, it doesn't take a genius to crack source code.

Okay then, since you clearly aren't a genius, you crack the source code.

Jesus, if no-one has done it since its release in '04 do you think ANYONE WILL?

Lemme have a crack at it.

I can probably get the models from it, what kind of extension is the main database?

.ski, .pro are files that lie in SkeletalMeshes/

in SkeletalAnimations/ there are .pan and .sai

.d2u's remind me a lot of Lineage II own .u's. Both weren't cracked.

Hmm.

Most Unreal Engine games use .PSK for skeletal meshes, weird. =S

Source code is impossible to be hacked now.. with steams new updates, most of the game you use/play run's off of steams network :/

LOL, Valve created steam fool, Therefore all their games run on steam for the best security (REMEMBER THE HL2 HACKER ATTACK OF 2003!?!??!). Not only Valve uses their own program for their games, but other game companies aree begining to use steam....

Even if they do, they'll have to call every game copy back then practically rewrite the code. Though, due to the fact they can't afford to do that bull, they'd only do it with GTBR.

Steam sucks. If people didn't realise, download the Deus Ex from there, the source is the same, with some minor edits made by Valve.

Any game that you download (or buy from the store that requires steam) from steam, the game will have a packet of data that run's off of steam's network (from valve).

Notice on the box of all steam running games it says

"An Internet Connection is Required"

!== "

for online play".

You don't even know what you're on about. Only multiplayer Steam games require your internet to be active 24/7. Steam doesn't make any game anymore secure than it already is. Constant packet sending of huge game files would cause most likely alot of lag.

Exactly, you require an internet connection, even for SP mode..

 klop, it doesn't send out packet files to users in MP, I'n SP is does, and yes, it does lagg a bit in SP.

It only forces you to play it online because it requires Steam to be open. It is simply overridable methinks.

What's with you and numb nuts? Do you have it or something? I guess that could be good, you're invincible to hits to the lower area, although I would wonder how the sperm were doing.

Valve would slice you in half if you hacked it. They already have enough problems with hackers..

You know I'm still trying to get the source.

I've been up all night downloading the game, the files, then looking up vast amounts of decompilers, trying them out, failing, etc.

It's driving me insane, I should probably give up.

I like DX:IW, it has a good replayability, and graphical work is pretty beatifull.

Sure, it is uncomparable to Deus Ex, but it's always fun to do some tactical quests with different augs and fun weapons ( <3 spiderbot grenade and widowmaker).
