READ FIRST: How To Post A Help Topic

Postby Tonnochi » Wed Mar 26, 08 4:12 pm

This is a guide to get an answer to a help topic. For this, we will use the example of a constant GPF.

Before you even post a topic, run a search on your problem.

Step 1: Title

This is a good title:
Constant GPF Error on Entry to 10_Paris_Metro

This is an okay title:
Constant GPF, Please Help

This is a bad title, and will not get you an answer:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST FUCKING HELP ME >< !!!!

Step 2: Post Content

This is good content. Posting a picture always helps, but I don't need to post one in this help:
I've got a constant GPF on entry to 10_Paris_Metro. I think it may be something with a texture package. Here's the picture:

This is okay content:
ok i have a gpf in paris, heres picture.

This is bad content:
HELP I HAVE GPF IN PARIS IT MAY BE TEXTURE PACKAGE.

Very nice. As far as I'm concerned, as long as people who need help post a decent title and be pretty descriptive then I have no problem. But if it's not descriptive, then how the hell do you expect someone to help you?
