WANTED: Someone who understands textures & err, stuff...

Postby Shinobi » Wed Aug 04, 10 1:00 pm

Firstly, look at this page from kentie.net:
http://kentie.net/article/d3d10drv/page2.htm

I'm looking for someone who understands all the stuff in the "External Textures" section. If you think you might be able to create more textures like the example ones (try the example external textures for the unatco training level, they really are impressive combined with NV mod), then please post some tests here.

I'm gonna have a read myself, I'm interested in creating a mod to enhance all new vision world textures with external height maps etc.

NOTE: I'm not looking to CHANGE the textures, like in this example. I just wanna create realistic bump-mapping for new vision textures.

Anybody else think this is a worthy cause?? Imagine a Deus Ex being played using directx 11, POM, new vision textures, high res.... oooooh it really does breathe new life into the singleplayer game!!

One more thing: I'm specifically looking for someone to create a grass texture as photorealistic as the d3d10 renderer and u1 engine will allow, with POM used for bump-mapping effect. Basically I want the closest thing to actual grass as possible

Good luck finding a person.
