Weird animation.

Postby Kalman11 » Thu Aug 18, 11 5:42 pm

I tried to edit the original DX meshes in 3ds Max. I animated it, but it looks weird in the Mesh Viewer.
Still animation:

Walk animation:

What can I do with this? I used the 3ds2de converter.

I think that's what happens when you don't apply a texture to the object, I had this error before but I can't remember the details, DJ will know though.

Yes, you're correct. You haven't applied any textures. But the second one.. seems messed up model wise.

This is what you're missing in import:

Code: Select all
#exec MESHMAP SETTEXTURE MESHMAP=<MODELNAME> NUM=0 TEXTURE=<TEXTURENAME>

You obviously don't have that line on your import.

Add more lines per materials/groups.

I've got the same problem with every mesh.
Here is one: http://www.mediafire.com/?8x2fmv2y6mhd6ss

Can you give me the model file aswell? The one with the animations. Can't tell much through those pesky .3d files.

OMG, never mind, I found the problem. The mesh was Editable Poly, I tried it as Editable Mesh and it works
Now , when I fire, it doesn't want to stop the fire anim.
