by the way do you know how to do the ucc make thing for a data cube???
when I do it it say s its not a regognised commmand

Err, I suggest you make sure you can Map properly before starting to do things like configure Information Devices.

Also, get more familiar with the game and the files in the system folder. It's a bit complex and will be made alot easier if you are a bit more experienced.

Out of interest, if you are using a Tutorial... which one are you using.

I suggest the Universal Constructor one for basic mapping, and for specifics, use Tack's page:

All I need to know is how to go to another system folder within the command promt. On tack tutorials it says CD o your system folder within command promt. How do u do that?

Click 'start', then 'run', type 'cmd', then type
cd C:\Program Files\Deus Ex\
and hit enter. Of course the path can be different (C:\Program Files\Deus Ex\ is just an example).

or cmd bit

Ive found out now, its just when i go to mycomputer then C:\ my deusex isnt in the program files so i just did cd C:\DeusEx\

DAMMIT now it comes up with all the package names then says Analyzing... Can't find files matching ..\MyPackage\Classes\*.uc

I'm doing the datacube tutorial from tacks deus ex lab website

Its all very confusing

lol, i'm 80% sure that you don't have a classes subfolder under your mod's folder (do you have a folder for your mod at all?)

yeah I have a mypackages folder then classes and models and text, like it said in tack's tutorials, I have a textimport.uc my classes folder and in my text folder I have the actual text file for my datacube

Unhide extensions for registered file types in Windows ;) Its in Folder Options.

Now I've bulit my own package and have a working datacube, all I need to get sorted is the layout of the message.Thanks for the help I'll use tacks tutorials for the rest
