AK47 model (my 1st model) help needed

I made the model fine, but I cant figure out how to skin it (i read the tutorial but still cant figure it out)

I have the model I made in 3ds format in the attachment (its basic since its my 1st try at a model)

EDIT: I also have the pic in an attachment I jsut remembered to add

EDIT 2: Took out download (Since Im finished wiht modelling/skinning)

Just use TC in MS3D. You do have ms3d, don't you?

Yea I have ms3d, but I still cant figure out how to get everything lined up properly in TC.

I took screenshots of what Im having problems on, both before i remap it and after

Try selecting that "Left" dropout box, try to use all options then click redraw.

its just a case of dragging the different vertexes of the rifle to match the outline of the diagram, effectively moulding the texture to the shape of the model you've made. Very simple, but takes some getting used to.

I solved the problem, turns out I needed to select "bottom" on the dropout box, and not left or right, so by using the bottom option I was finally able to skin it
