if you've ever dealt with some kids in the Internet you'll clearly understand what I mean

he tried to show off how useful he is by hosting a masterserver and now publishing the guide

as I said many times before, hosting an "alternative masterserver" is just a way of drawing attention, because it is really absolutely useless for the community

Well according to a few gamespy are planning to shut down. They cant make enough money on their main product, gamespy arcade. So they are considering shutting down. To prove theese roumours i emailed them myself and asked. And my slimlines now wide open so with the extra MSs in like redfires etc it may just help a teeny bit but not much

And it isnt usually useless PROVIDING its JUST mantence and not a shutdown.

UCC Masterserver is buggy as fuck in anycase.

Until I read something official, I ain't believing shit.

Tis worrying though... what on earth would we do if they did decide to shutdown the DX MS? I for one don't wanna have to give up DXMP permanently.. I still like a game now and then.

I've had a MS running for a while, but it ain't for "public consumption", I run it purely because I felt like trying something new. Now, when myself and a few close DX buddies feel like a quiet game together, we use DXSL and browse my masterserver, which conveniently only shows my server.

Kinda pointless, but the function's there, s'pose it's up to me what I do with it.

But you, Mr 123456789, seem to think you're a DXMP god coz you host a MS (which, incidentally, really can't be that popular if I've never heard of it).

PS #1: Who the fucking fuck is redfire.
PS #2: Are there any popular masterservers aside from gamespy that I should know about? I mean ones people actually play on.

My masterserver had over 10 servers on it.

(yes hosters added it voulentarlly).

And im {E.D.H}HDD21.

I would go to say I have more power than most if not all people in Deus Ex because of how easily I make friends and how people want to get to know me. I don't think anyone can deny that, or get sick of my false superiority complex.
