Just because a game gets the odd player doesn't mean it's active, it just means people still insist on playing an outdated game when much more enjoyable games are around. I'm assuming it's because they have terrible computers and can't play anything else. The only people I could understand still playing would be the ones who've been playing for like 7+ years who visit every now and again, but they wouldn't be the active majority.

As said, compared to any popular FPS the multiplayer of DX is dead.
