Hmm, back when I first checked alpha website sometime around 2004 I recall a different website, news articles seemed to have smaller icons, or maybe its just my memory. Think some of the last news was Conceited and Amme leaving for DES or something.

The scripting society forum was interesting (in my opinion) - and besides, you can't really expect to have a lot of activity in something that specific in a game as small as DX.

I think the scripting society was great; I wouldn't have gotten past default properties editing without it. (Especially the in-depth sodacan tutorial thing (Thanks!) :D )

Scripting was something I was interested in, which is why I originally joined the group, but I've since lost the desire for the programming world. It looks so extremely tedious and boring to me, I applaud all who can do it and do it well.

The admins do delete privileges from 1/3 of active moderators though.
