RTKM was a popular server in DX for a small time, [A]lex was around on DX aswell I remember, though didn't play much, spent more time on this forum bullying people to actually know what's going on in the DX community.

I didn't care for GODZ too much. Back then everybody said it was the worst server, so I tended to.. stay away.

On GODZ they had that mutator where you go fat if you are pwning everyone rite. but in the mirror it always does the reverse rite.

That held my DX career back for a good 2 years, while I tried to work out why I always looked like a nub even though i was a G.

It's even more confusing before you figure out behindview shows the correct fatness.

I used to like that mod, but it doesn't alter collision meshes, so fat people are deceptively hard to hit (as you can shoot them at the side of the head, but bullets just travel through) where as slim people are the opposite, you can shoot a decent distance to the side of the head and it'll still kill.

I think godz also had increased damage too (by a small amount at least).
The "noob rifle" (which was the 1-shot-torso-kill sniper) can be achieved on any server by increased damage, which isn't so noticeable when dealing with other weapons... probably due to the x3 damage amp on snipers.

Also, GODZ was famous, much like RTKM. RTKM is famous.

The rifle in GODZ was one shot kill, unscoped, to the legs.

GODZ wasn't meant to be popular it was just NoChanc's wet dream that he was fantastic at the game when he was modding the shit out of it in his favor.

I can't ever remember that happening.
Lost my legs all the time, but never was killed by a leg-shot.

I'd remake GODZ, but I'm not a yank, and I'd have to pay for a server over there to create that authentic, massive-pinged, "Fuck Europeans" feel.

PS, jimbowens server is best server of all time

How do you think all the American players now feel? Every server that isn't RPG or some half assed mod is euro. And there is definitely a fuck Americans feel about those.
