Wouldn't mind some feedback on this map at the halfway stage...
Map, texture and music attached. Lighting, textures and brushwork are unfinished. Face has been helping with the 2D editor.
I will probably remake the space jockey chair into a more complex one...

The Space Jockey chair moves...

Not too keen on the dome, I remember them being a little more curvier and a tiny bit more bigger in Alien and Prometheus.

Like the hologram.

Do you know if you're able to salvage the brushes/models from the AVP2 videogame? It's on the Quake engine and the final areas of the game are set inside an Engineer ship.

6m30s in. I like your cockpit but Unreal engine brushes prevent you from making anything Giger like.

Well its possible since quake 3 weapons have been exported into postal 2( game running the ut2004 engine).

@ Tejas - Most of the new maps can be found here - www.DXMP.freeforums.org, I need to add the 2MB maps still however - I'll get onto those.

Thanks Chin. I'll probably do a bit more and then get your feedback.

@ James, someone else did mention AvP too.

The M40, M249 and Alien animations would be really cool, I have no idea if they can be exported.

The dome, you're right, my first attempt used a sphere, but I had a lack of skills in getting the pillars to match the curve well. As soon as I can use 2D editor well enough, I will remake the corridors and the domes.

The UDK Prometheus project is absolutely incredible, he made the Hammerpede creatures too, he's modelled the face statue and got the textures perfectly somehow on the corridors. Having seen the high standard of it, I think I could/should do a little better, even though it's an old engine.

Just a thought, maybe you should be a judge in the next map challenge...

Does anyone know where I can get the DXSG maps? More specifically, "DXSG_Area51Bunker_V3_152"?
