"I vanted orange, it gave me lemon und lime!"

Y'know, I would love to see someone redo the conversation where you use Gunther's killswitch (Laputan machine) but someone who can replicate his voice (not perfect anyways). And instead of

"I am not a mach..." change it to

"I VANTED ORANGE!!!" lol.

Can I get a "Heres To That!" here?

Now, I'm a huge fan of the truly WONDERFUL story behind Deus Ex. Honestly, It's magnificently done. Every single little detail was thought of for that game. EVERY one. I have tried, and could not find any inconsistencies AT ALL with any dates or info in the game.

Believe me, I read every book, every datacube, every computer screen, every node address.... I am THAT sad.

BUT - I have a teeny weeny little problem. I have never played Deus Ex: Invisible War. The majority say it sucks (two words make it suck for me: universal ammo) and it wasn't as detailed as DX1 plot-wise... but, DX:IW still indeed had a story, and I kinda need an overview of it, coz I can't play it. My computer is too old. Barely manages DX.

And as people above said - wowza when that theme tune kicked in! Quite an effective little trailer, actually.

A teaser trailer released on November 26, 2007, featured the phrase "Who we are is but a stepping stone to what we can become" and a remixed version of the main title menu music of Deus Ex. The trailer depicts a fetus implanted with biomodifications.[4] Also, the teaser features a short series of flashing images. Those images are:

* Studies of the Shoulder and Neck, A Study of the Spine, and Detail of Anatomical Studies of the Muscles of the Neck, Shoulder, Chest and Arm by Leonardo da Vinci
* Lower case Greek letter phi (φ), the golden ratio in mathematics, art and architecture.
* da Vinci's application of the golden ratio to the human head from De Divina Proportione
* A diagram of a logarithmic golden spiral whose growth factor is related to φ
* A drawing of a golden triangle and the golden function written inside it
* The title page of De human corporis fabrica liborum epitome by Vesalius, an image showing an anatomical theatre
* Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt
* Augmentation detail
* Lament For Icarus by Herbert James Draper
* An x-ray image of a human chest
* Two USG images of the biomodified fetus
* An x-ray image of a human skull
* An image of a couple, with the girl having a mechanical arm
* Prosthetic limbs in a box
* A ballot box for "Biopolitic Vote 2027", with a voting card with a red X being inserted in it
* A sign saying 'Augmented people enter from the back'
* A sign saying 'We do not welcome augmented people here'
* A blurred picture of a street with protesters
* Photo of riot police
* An unknown building with protesters in front of it. One holding a sign saying 'No augs'
* Roman numbers III, IV, V and VI, possibly a reference to the decalogue
* A lowercase italic letter 'h' and a plus sign in brackets, a symbol used for Transhumanism (This symbol also appears in the front-page animation on Eidos Montreal's website.)

We've all seen it. He commented on the analysis and I removed it because all he did was spam all of it and then he said "edit accordingly". Sent him a message but clearly he doesn't get it.

I was skimming through the forums, also at the official Deus ex 3 Forum, and couldn't find anything on a teaser trailer analysis. So i scouted around the history of the deus Ex 3 wiki page and found the analysis i heard people talk about. So i wanted to post it here for everyone in case they couldn't find it.

Yay for my detective work 8)

can anyone find a teaser trailer analysis in the official Deus Ex 3 forums? I might post this there as well.

This crappy analysis here http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=fkXCE8CkNZU&feature=email

way outdated and edited many times still is incomplete.

the Image at 1:52 is called "De human corporis fabrica liborum epitome" by Vesalius.

It seems you peeps have got a lot more outta the teaser trailer over time!

What's the deal with the 2027 bit being edited out on the HD version, then?

I guess the date of the bio politic vote isn't finalized yet.

and perhaps it gave away to much of the story.

It's speculated that Eidos Montreal removed it because it revealed to much. That little detail alone is enough to reinforce the theory that Deus Ex 3 may be a prequel, not a sequel. As much as I hate to admit.

Speculation: Something I love to debate, especially about items of interest such as video games.

Nice one. Shame it doesn't tell us anything we don't already know.... and it's "all-too-brief", not "all-to-brief" - can't believe a magazine got it wrong!!

this analysis is the best one I've found so far.

PS - dam it took me a long time to upload it, stupid high resolution pages

my thoughts is this "Emile" is a the first Mechanical augmented feotus.
the dawn of a new age, a age where man and machine are one.

This analysis also mentioned something very interesting about JC Denton, JC is initials for Jesus Christ.

the bio political vote is for segregation. Splitting the society into two.

The enraged protesters, are augmented people, fighting back...

some augmented people, remove their augmented limbs, would rather be cripples than outcasts.

what a sad future for man kind.

this games gonna be epic 8)

Umm - don't count your chickens before they hatch.... I thought DX:IW would be good...

Thanks for posting it, I've not read ANY of the trailer analysis thingies properly, so it was interesting.

I don't wanna get into ovr-analysing any stupid teaser trailer which was released while the dev team were still doing proof of concept.... so much can change.

I'm not.. I'm just giving my opinion on what the teaser trailer means.

Shinobi wrote: I thought DX:IW would be good...

?? I don't understand what that means.

Shinobi wrote:I don't wanna get into ovr-analysing any stupid teaser trailer which was released while the dev team were still doing proof of concept.... so much can change.

that's just your opinion. But this is what a forum is for, to analyze the teaser trailer and talk about it.

If you don't want to that's fine, but then what are you doing in this forum?

You know what, anybody watched I Robot?

Think about the old robots being thrown away for new ones, and the new ones turning against civilians...

The correct answer would of been victims of dwarfism, STDs, retardation and severe injury not fitting into society.

On the last magazine page, Picture 23 looks like a building from Invisible War.
