Yep... maybe...
His long coat can store a big list of things...
Including a GEP Gun and a Dragon Tooth Sword turned ON...

Ahahaha

Maybe everything just holds up tiny but you don't see it :o Or he..uh, yeah his coat is magic.

You couldn't active more than one aug in DX2?

Only one aug at a time? Madness!

Kaiden the sword is turned on when it's in your inventory. Otherwise it wouldn't take up so much space. He has an augged Coat.

Yeah, they should definitely bring skills back.
I'd like something that lets you control someone for a short amount of time, or change them to your side for a bit. Sort of like a scramble grenade for people?

But it's a handle when he gets it out.. So he turns it off, puts it in his coat and turns it on, takes it out while turning it off, then turns it on when it's in his hand :o

Since it will probably be a prequel, I would like to see augs that make your character appear more human. In Deus Ex 1 and 2, most of the NPCs were happy to reveal their feelings to you about augmentation because they didn't realise you were a freak. If they were not as open to talking to you, things would have been a lot harder. Perhaps being able to open people up by way of appearing more normal could be something you could sacrifice an aug slot for.

In the Terminator movies, dogs could tell cyborgs from men. Perhaps there could be something similar in Deus Ex 3. Prejudice against or the culture of body augmentation could be expanded on too.

Another idea is a lie detector aug. Perhaps the player could be given an analysis on the non-verbal cues of the NPC they just interviewed.

Think he referred to Project Snowblind (Which first had the name "Deus Ex : Clan Wars" or something like that.) It only allowed activation of one aug at a time, and one was only able to use it for a very small duration.

Toy with the thought of vision augumentation (heat sensitive or whatever) and shooting through walls. Or maybe some type of sound-dependent vision? Like Dare-Devil. It might be a bit exaggerated but a ghost image generator of some sort to spring traps/trick enemies etc.

That would be pretty cool. Even if they just copied the look from the daredevil movie (the scenes where he could see the person because of the sound of the raindrops yoke ;D).

Don't know how they'd incorporate it properly though...

I posted an idea very similar to this on page one. It would be awesome.

That one was explained: JC had augumented vision. I dont think the audio-vision would be so hard to make: if a sound close enough to the player arises then he gets to see things around the source of the sound. Maybe it wont look perfectly realistic, but i believe it would be feasible.

He wears sunglasses because his eyes are the thing that gives him away as an augment, as they are solid blue having been augmented.

No, he looks exactly like a normal person, except for this eyes. This is stated in an email to Gunther and Anna in Unatco and the Public News Terminal telling people to look out for you.

Fake Death: Slows heart-rate and simulates death. Organics wont be able to tell the difference. Bots and Cameras on the other hand can easily see through your ruse.

Enhanced Metabolism: Medi-kits, Food, Energy/battery packs etc are more effective. Alcohol and cigarettes have more of a negative impact. Poison effects do slightly more damage. Underwater/Hold Breath (If a game feature.) Lasts much much longer.

Doppleganger: Eye augmentation, allows you to copy a person's retina onto your own to bypass retina scanners and the like simply by looking them in the eye. 'Engaging in conversation.' Other upgrades allow DNA or voice mimicking to fool even more sophisticated security systems.

Holograph: Create a holographic image of yourself to lure enemies into dangerous areas or traps. (You control the Holograph for a limited duration, but it cannot attack.) Organics will be fooled easily, animals can tell by scent of what is real and what isn't. Robotics with thermal sensors are not fooled either.
User must remain hidden and stationary for holograph to be fully effective.

Nano creator: By using nanotech, the user can create a medi kit or ammo pack out of thin air. Other useful items can be conjured at higher upgrades. Requires a fully charged energy bar and expends 100% of it to create an item. 'Until energy is recharged via battery pack or whatever item fits into aug power replenishment.'

Pheromone tracking: Enhanced scent for tracking specific targets. Will allow you to see guard patrol routes by way of colour coded trails on the ground. Certain important targets may appear differently to allow you to find and kill a specific type of prey.

Thats all I can think of just now.

This is a weird idea, but sound vision? Enhances player's hearing greatly and you can see lines coming from noises. Ie: A nearby troop running towards you from far away and you'd hear it and know where he was.

I'd like an aug that takes 50% of your Bio, and emits a terribly loud bang, stunning everyone in the area for about 7 seconds. Just as a "when the shit hits the fan" kind of thing.

Also, since Augs give you such power in Deus Ex, I'd really like at the same stage as the Airfield mission in DX1, the enemies became augmented. Some troops specialize in certain augs etc, and with some good AI behind it, you could have bands of soldiers working together, talking to each other like "You see that?" "No, let me check". To help the player understand which aug they're using, there would be ANOTHER aug that can detect all augmentations within your radius, and display them on your hud.

That, or -- with experience, and good old trial and error, you would eventually recognize the distinctive hum that each aug makes.

In the first Deus Ex game there was always a defense augmentation against any weapon. In DX:IW you would only have those fancy un-balanced insane augs like some shit that shot the enemies for you bla bla bla. In DX3 I hope they're gonna make augs against every weapon just like in the original DX and have some new cool stuff I don't care really 8)

refined augs, complex augs, blackmarket installations, something innovative and stylish. But, if its a prequel, itll have its limitations.
