PC version is developed elsewhere

I'm not sure if this is the worst news because it's a single player game, it's just sorta confused me on what I feel and what we previously knew.

http://www.dxalpha.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15091

I know this was solved but it did seem like the focus did shift to PC for awhile.

I'd like to confidently reassure people that Nixxes' ports have been good especially as of late, just say goodbye to any proper modification. I'm pleased that the game isn't at least neglected and this has been going on for some time (June 2010)

To reassure people even more, here's to show you what developers in the Netherlands are capable of:

I'm pretty confident in Nixxes. I think the PC version will be fine.

You can quote me on that later when it's not.

I'm confused. Nixx has worked on some successful titles and specifically Crystal D titles, but some people seem to think they are absolutely terrible.

You could say this about anything though...

People always have their opinions. It's what makes us who we are.

This is what happened today:
"Oh lets see here DXHR interview with Jean
Blahblahblah
PC PORT

PC PORT???????????????????????
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Then forums interrupted. To be fair I don't really care because it's a single-player game and it shouldn't take that much from the game itself. See Prototype.

The PS3 port has only been functional (see: working) since the beginning of 2011/end of 2010.

>PC version is a port

Personally, I think the "S" was forgotten in Sport.

I have two PS3 game at the moment. Both of which are only for PS3. There's a reason for this.

Buy it for PC. Guarantee you won't be disappointed.

We can't all be winners.

Charlie Sheen's a Winner.

Despite the PC version being a port, it's still going to play better.

This is an assumption.

I've changed the subject title because of what I've been told and seen about the 360 and PC version differences. One of the most prominent is the differences of inventory, the 360 (presumed for the PS3 too) uses a rolling circle belt and the PC version uses that grid RE4 style which is indeed an improvement over the original game's.

It's definitely not neglected.

Not everyone here plays 500 games a day m8

What is the RE4 style?

Image Think this is what he means, this is the Resi 4 inventory screen

Quick reply da best

But that looks... pretty much the same as in DX?

What makes it better/different?

I'm in work for this!!! (seriously nothing to do with 2 weeks and no twitter due to service provider being deceptive)

Grid style is usual rpg style you see in deus ex, diablo, any rpg game ever and early resident evil/re5

re4 introduced a tetris grid system where you can rotate items, it's really fun and useful

Hey, one I can read.

Trans.:
Als die Entwicklung fortschritt, sprachen wir aber auch über Besonderheiten der PC-Fassung.

As the development progressed, we also talked about special features for the pc version.

Jean-Francois Dugas: Ursprünglich wollten wir alle drei Fassungen in einem Studio entwickeln und bis vor einem Jahr haben wir das auch getan.

Here he is saying that apparently they didn't start outsourcing the pc version until a year ago, which is also interesting.

In the coming weeks, we will be giving more details on the features of the PC version. We have done a lot to ensure that HR will be an outstanding game. And as I said: the differences between the PC and console versions were originally developed by those who are taking care of the PS3 and 360 versions.
