The fact that Deus Ex: Resurrection has not come out as yet, when the release date was July 2004.

I can release Resurrection even right now, but I think that it is better to wait and get much more high-quality add-on, that just "some new textures for DX".

You know, creating of mods is very hard thing. Modders create another game like Warren Spector and his ISA team did once five or six years ago! And even if RedSun is boring as hell, it took a lot of time to do, i'm sure.

Nah its not. There is an 3D world building engine called Unreal, which were bought by Ion Storm to make a Deus Ex game and Epic used the same engine for their Unreal Tournament, as far as i know.

Can't wait for Resurrection :). Trying Deus Ex on maximum quality available (all the filtering, etc), It looks impressive, but many objects and models need some work to make it loook awesome.

Any news? Merger, release, beta...? :)

Nope, not the guy you know, sorry :-\. I needed a Deus Ex name, and JC. Denton's story sorta mirrors that of christianity's Jesus. J.C. comes to earth, not entirely human, able to work miracles, redeems humanity etc, Join the satan/join the Helios AI/Sacrefice self etc. I didn't catch the parallels until one day shooting Paul in the hangar, he yelled "Jesus Christ, JC!". I'm sure that's been noticed a lot before. Anyway, didn't realize someone else had the name, I'll use a different name next time.

Had to play Deus Ex again, forgot how bad it looked with the brightness turned up, can't wait for a retexturing :)

From God

Although the Deus Ex retex project was a shambled unorginised mess, a few of the people have moved over to the far more orginised project: HDTP which looks like its going somwhere and may even have its first pack out by April.

http://www.offtopicproductions.com/hdtp/

Perhaps a merger of ressurection with them would be possible considering the idea to merge with the now defunct Deus Ex Retex project has well and truly been scrapped.

I see Ressurection as something real and HDTP as something unreal. Well of course its my subjective opinion only. But i don't believe in HDTP success, its utopical imho.
