That is not the reason to give them all my work. Iwas working hard to make everything that DX: Resurrection has. And the only differences between my add-on and Rebirth is that they have new character models (if they finish them) and I have nice weather system. So why do we need to merge?

Well, if'll create cooler site and i'll tell folks "Resurrection - forever!" at least half of them will like us much more than rebirth. This depends on Public Relations, i proved this.

Resurrection doesn't need site since it is only a tech-demo of 2027.
I agree, everything depends on PR. Rebirth is just more well-known.
But as far as I see Resurrection is already has more work done and it has more improvements than DX: Rebirth (more new textures, advanced weather system, mod starter, DX bugs fixes, new effects...).

now this is what I wanted least of all. now DX Resurrection is a direct enemy of DX Re-Tex...
In the end everyone will be losers, I predict something totally wrong:

1- DX Resurrection comes out first and has about 60% of DX Re-Tex's features + it's own specials
2- DX Re-Tex people start to rebel, atleast half of people don't see any point for it at all, the other half desperatly tryes to keep the project alive
A
3a- DX Re-Tex is DEAD. A lot of people will forever miss the fetures of DX Re-Tex whitch are lost between many authors all over internet and probably even not finished.
4a- people who remember DX Re-Tex will always blame DX Resurrection about something like "this texture was much better in DX Re-Tex, DX Resurrection sucks, Ded PLeAsE mAkE tHIs cRap thE otHer way aNd YOuLL bE My mAN..."
B
3b- someone eventually finisches DX Re-Tex, people don't understand what is better, people want DX Resurrection, but with some things from DX Re-Tex... Questions like "How to use boath add ons together?" and "which is the BEST?" arise all over the DX community
4b- there is no real solution, you can't mix boath add ons together, so boath of them are "nice, but not what I wanted it to be"

5- crap

5c- one freakin' genious comes out, steals the stuff from boath teams, mixes DX Re-Tex with DX Resurrection together and releases with his name over it! Community says "it is bad to steal stuff!" or "this should be done from the start!" but everyone is finaly happy because peopele got what they needed and don't take a sh*t abut who made this... HaPPy EnD!

Who said we're going to compete? And you know, both projects are different: DX Reb makes accent on retexturing the objects and standart dx textures while DX Res makes accent on weather effects, game additions, reducing lag, increasing quality of standart models.
Well, i'm not sure about these all things, but thats what Ded told me in dialogues when DX Res started.

Exactly! DX Resurrection is slightly different that Rebirth. Rebirth is forced on textures only (+character models), while Resurrection will contain new models, effects, new in-game fonts, fix bugs and so on.
DX Resurrection is not an enemy of Rebirth.

1. Who cares which mod is better than the other. Grow up.

Wow, I want new ingame fonts and weather system to annoy my SP experience, and SP had bugs? Such as?

Like endless multitool and lockpick.
1- DX Resurrection comes out first and has about 60% of DX Re-Tex's features + it's own specials

Well, at this moment DX: Resurrection is already has more work done on retexturing than Rebirth. Not to mention new features and other misc things. So 60% is not a right number.

1. Grab a multitool / lockpick
2. Begin using it.
3. While using, press escape.
4. Wait.
5. Voila! 1 lockpick / multitool needed for a entire door!

I can tell you in a few days. Right now I'm solving a problem of merging with the Rebirth project. We might become a one big mod, or if that won't happen I will release Resurrection really soon.

Hush up, fool. Merging with Rebirth might be better than releasing the mod by itself. Don't put pressure on the man.

Guys, register please. Takes few minutes, if you're active member of the DX community you will need it, maybe soon.

If you merge, you need a leader, a good one, who knows a lot about this and who really wants to continue the development of such great mod.

As far as I can see, there won't be a merge of this two projects. Rebirth's team just don't want me to become the second leader, they just want me to send them all my work. Moreover I've heard that they are really far from the release and there are lots of problems with the team members and the whole mod progress.

I think it would be 10-20mb (it depends on how many new effects and textures will be included into it).
