As said in title, a friend of mine desires to know when this modification is approximately finished. He doesn't play Deus Ex but he's the guy who got me into DX, and now he wants to know when 2027 is finished He's been following it for a while now.

Russian version is rumored to come out in 2008.

I now envy all Russian Deus Ex players... lucky bastards...

A big bump, but when in 2008? It's June already, a lot of people are waiting for this mod. I will even reinstall Deus Ex just to play it.

Ded says that he won't give up a project that he's put so much effort into, and that is actually a standalone game that may run without Deus Ex. Pr 2027 is indeed a weighty line in a CV.

Half a year ago he paused the development (again) because he started a web-design company in Novosibirsk. Now it runs well (by his own words).

A week ago he announced that he continues the development of the project. However he thinks that the story line contains too much of a "teenager bombast" (the project started when he was 15, now he's 21), and he'll try to get around that using the "flash backs". "Flash backs" will make the player think more, and the story won't seem so plain.

The other problem are texts, some of which were written long ago. He's developed some solution that partially solves that problem, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to disclose what is it (I will only say that it was done with the help of [A]lex).

And yeah... answering to the rumours, Ded wasn't hired by Eidos Montreal.

I think quite opposite — every developer likes when people care about their work. At the same time I don't mind answering questions.

It's been in development for a while now, I'm sure the majority of us waiters can wait a bit more. I mean, it's not like you're making Duke Nukem Forever and deliberately going to make us wait a decade (course, they never did that on purpose but who gives a fuck).

And in all honesty, when this is released and if it's a good game, it would be a damn nice add-on to any CV lol. Especially if were looking to work in the gaming industry lol.
