Problem of speed

Hello! french guy speaking ^^

I began to play this mod yesterday and it seems great.
But I have a problem of speed (not framerate) in the game.
I explain: the game runs normally but, randomly, it becomes slower during a few seconds, and then becomes normally again. I had the same problem with Deus Ex and it sometimes disapeared when I leaved and restarted the game... but this solution does not work with 2027 !

Help! Tell me if I'm not clear enough.

Thx

Try to force vertical sync in your video card settings. Also make sure that the game is using only one CPU core.

http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm

There are two additional renderers in 2027 v1.2.1, so there is no need to use Kentie's launcher.

sorry, i did not know what renderer 2027 is using. i didnt mean his launcher but the renderers a bit further down on the page. it was just a thought. a bad one...

The default renderer is DirectX 9. There is also a build-in support for DirectX 10 from kentie.net and OpenGL in version 1.2.1 (see "classic effects" in 2027 launcher).

Ded has written that 2027 has dx9 and dx10 support. i guess all thats left is Chris Dohnals opengl renderer:
http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/
but trying this would include some ini file editing and im not familiar enough with unreal based games to be able to advise on this.

you might want to browse through this topic, maybe there is some useful advice:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... p?t=808112
but keep in mind that all solutions there are for vanilla deus ex and 2027 has its own ini (configuration) files, so if you want to try one of those that involve ini file editing you should look for those in "yourdeusexfolder"\2027\system instead of "yourdeusexfolder"\system.

This OpenGL renderer is included in version 1.2.1 too.

You can select it in the game launcher with the latest 2027 patch.

thanks, i wasnt aware of the new patch (i was busy finishing the mod), although you wrote the new version number. i didnt get suspicious even of the mentioning of classic effects.
nice work i wasnt expecting it so soon.
anyway unfortunately i have no further ideas sorry Logos757...

Finally, I made it! ^^
Thanks for your answers, but I found the solution yesterday.
I just chose the "economic profile" instead of "performance profile" before the launch of the game.
Now, the game runs at a normal speed ! there is just sometimes a drop of the framerate because of the CPU (economic profile = lower performances...) but it's cool

glad it works (though the solution is unexpected).
would you consider including here somewhere your system specifications in case anybody else have this problem - motherboard, cpu, gpu, ram, operating system?
editing your first post would be the best...

I had this problem, and it seemed to have been caused by Cool'n'Quiet, which is a technology for AMD processors that lowers the clock rate when the processor is idle. So if all else fails, and some kind of CPU throttling is active, disable it and see if it helps.
