I donn't really know the difference between pc and mac versions and how to make 2027 playable on mac. If anyone will tell me how to do it, I probably will release both versions.

There are a lot of DX'ers on Mac. So, we should think about 'em too. Look at this page on Zodiac's site (http://www.planetdeusex.com/zodiac/download.html). There is a link to download Mac's something, and their expirience may help us.

I will also include a .bat file for case that starter won't work on some systems.

Mac cannot execut win32 files, neither .bat, there is only two ways for mod for mac two work
1--Creat an appliction tha launch the "mod.ini", but you need to change some things in the ini like
[Engine.Engine]
ViewportManager=MacDrv.MacClient
CDPath=Deus Ex:
AND ESSPECIALY CHANGE HE WINDR. to MACDR

[MacDrv.MacClient]
WindowedViewportX=640
WindowedViewportY=480
WindowedColorBits=16
FullscreenViewportX=640
FullscreenViewportY=480
FullscreenColorBits=16
Brightness=1.000000
.......
.......
Also change some other miner things

2-- just change the "mod.ini" to "deusex.ini" backing up the original, i do this, BUt NOt forgeting to modify the ini like showed..

Voila

no no, your not getting me, theres game emulators aswell. In Linux there are programs such as point2play, cedega and wineX. I got cedega torrent and it played deus ex (had to use non sold out .exe). Full resolution and textures and it played online. i found that really impressive because the net code is deus ex but i guess Linux supports the TCP/IP Protocol but still, impressive! Have a such around on google for "MAC .exe emulator". Good luck.

I tell you it DOES NOt exist, I know what i am saying, or there would be no mac games only PC games,
Look the exe extenion is for the DOS based platformes, Mac uses othere extentions, and it is not possible to run exe on mac, only by emulating DOS,

Yep. Linux can do it, linux uses all sorts of formats and compiling and depackage tools. It makes a fake c_ partition first then emulates dos etc
