Deus Ex: 2027 is a kind of the prequel to the original Deus Ex. But that's not just a prequel, thats a story based on Deus Ex story/facts/event.
During the gameplay of Deus Ex: 2027 you will be able not just to kill, reaching tasks and missions, you will be able to discover and find answers on different and important questions... For example, what can we expect in our tomorrows future? How is cloning dangerous? Do we know all the truth or... do we get only that info that was brought by government? How is dangerous creating of AI (artificial intellect)? Is it possible to be GOD?
- In first part of the game you will play as agent of FEMA and your main enemy will be NWSF (old NSF name).
- You will have missions to play in different cities, New York, Washington, Moscow, Paris; in such places as CIA and FEMA headquarters, secret russian research complex or latest MJ12 base...
- Why does government alliace with MJ12?
- What Echelon system is actually created for?
- You will be able meet old Deus Ex characters like Bet DuClare, Lucius DeBeers, Sam Carter, Stanton Dawd, Morgan Everett and others.
- You will be able to stop MJ12 in using Thanatos project.
- At last, in the fin of the story, you will be able to change the future of the whole world
Also, Deus Ex: 2027 has some new interesting additions to standart Deus Ex:
- Storyline isn't linear, means, you have always two or more different ways to choose. Even the final of the story depends on your actions and choice.
- Lots of new kinds of armory. You will be able to repair and to modify your weapons. There will be some armory shops where is possible to buy it. Also, we have added alternative fire function.
- Added new skills and augmentations to standart ones.
- Lots of new decorations, stuff and effects.
- New amazing weather effects: little rain (cats and dogs supported too =) ), thunder, lightnings or snowfalls...
- New word in DX modding: old models are replaced with new, high-quality and high-poly ones. Most of the effects are recasted with using high quality sprites. Level detalization of each map is rather higher than in original Deus Ex. These all things make old game looking new'er. All maps are created using "Global BSP optimisation" technology, which means there are almost no geometry bugs (black holes in brushes, falling through objects or dying without a reason)
in them and game runs much faster.
- New advanced lighting system that allows to create cool effects with dynamic fog and changing properties of light in real time (i.e. color, light effect and other).
- Most of locations are made by photos and maps of real places. Levels will be much bigger than in original Deus Ex.
- Lots of movies and cutscenes allows player to get into the interesting story of the mod.
- Installation and removal of the mod is completely automatic: you don't need such programs like Mod Loader to launch 2027.
- New quality fonts with using of anti-alliasing and screen dithering.
- 2027 starter (program that launches the mod) allows to change properties outside the game. You will be able to change, for example, screen resolution, visualization properties, and also to change the mod language (it's avaible on english and russian).
- Fixed some original Deus Ex bugs and problems.
