IDK where to put this but don't wanna start a new thread. I am really amused that speed-runs for Deus Ex upgrade swimming for legitimate reasons.

Makes sense. Those skill points don't need to be anywhere else since you just avoid all enemies. Doing a speed run of DX just requires having all of the necessary codes written down, upgrading the speed boost aug and swimming to max as soon as possible, and knowing a few handy glitches. Those grenade jumps are the hardest part. I believe the current record is somewhere between 40-50 minutes. At one time I tried to beat it.

They don't use grenade jumps most of the time, for safe runs they use a graphics setting glitch where you can stack jump in the menus.

Yeh, dex owns it.

That Deus Ex speedrun is literally the only speedrun I ever bothered watching from start to finish.

You should watch Spider Waffle's sub 30 minute speedrun of Half Life 1. I've sat through the whole thing at least twice and it is incredibly entertaining.
