[RELEASE] Remote explosive grenades

Basically, this is a modification that implements grenades that you can blow up remotely by the ALTFIRE key.
It is the 3rd and final version.

It also contains a replacer, so a server can always use the remote explosive (RX) versions of the default grenades.
Don't worry. The grenades got 2 modes. At their initial mode, they behave like normal grenades. However, pressing the ammo change key, enables the RX mode. :twisted:

As I always tend to say... take a look at the readme. It explains all.

Yah I was messing with them on a server the other day.

Makes for a sneaky tactic to take out the enemy before it can be disarmed.

The mode change is another nice touch.

I can only imagine these in the original game, would be overpowered with the linear paths of the AI.

Anyway, I doubt the mod is overpowered in MP, since proximity doesn't work for the RX grenades.
There you can use the normal mode again.

RX grenades, that hit people always hit them at the right place and got stuck there.
The thing you're talking of, is the the grenades looking like they would float in the air away from the attached player, although they aren't on the server.
i.e. if you press altfire, it would still blow up the player, although the grenade seems to be far away.

It's a MP replication issue, that I could not fix. (yet)

Actually, idea - Make the grenades invisible when they attach to a mobile target?

Hmm.. Can possibly make the grenade invisable on impact an that would spawn a DT_Sprite attatched to it with no actor collison slightly off center of the grenade so that it would appear to be on the player. May solve the problem, no major flaw though really.
