Do you realize that pretty much anyone who has ever got their hands on a Diablo III beta/demo have almost said nothing negative about it? Quite the opposite they say it feels like a Diablo game and is really fun to play and can't wait for the release.
How does it feel now to know this?

Titans Quest, Hellgate and Torchlight etc fanboys slinging shit that they had more developers of Diablo 1/2 on them than Diablo 3... that sure helped those games be good, didn't it?

That happens a lot in all companies.

Friends also applies for commentators and streamers of the fanbase. Most are normal fans and posting stuff and telling people what its like.

Sorry about bringing an old topic up but I would like to know if anyone of you got into the Diablo 3 beta?

The beta has just started a few days ago. I got in and the game looks really good. Blizzard announced a bunch of news with the Beta. They presented the new Barbarian skills system (barbarian skills list) and they introduced the new Battle Net. You can get all the latest news on the official Battle Net website.

Doesn't removing Scrolls of Identification make it more like WoW? Oh although you still ID them, you just don't have a physical scroll.

Dunno about the stat changes, it's mostly just merging some stats and renaming some others.

Not that I know anything about WoW but yeah

Also the indentify scrolls were one of the things that really had Diablo written all over it, I found them annoying but it would've helped keeping the Diablo vibe of they were still in it. All in all I'm not complaining though, I used to rush to rescue Deckard Cain(?) for identifying anyway.

Almost entirely correct, they're being dicks and won't seperate singleplayer characters from multiplayer characters. Thankfully it isn't the worst DRM, and playing Diablo 2 (and 3 I guess) alone is sorta lame.

They're being anti-LAN because they don't want people to pirate the game and play in a virtual LAN environment. I hate the fact they're doing this for games like SC2. I'm just hoping at least there will be an offline mode like StarCraft 2, with features disabled such as MP, achievements and profile unlocks etc.
