Amazing game, graphics are pure class (although often I noticed took awhile to load).

Gameplay was probably the most important part about the game, you want to actually fight people in this RPG. Rather than the JRPGs where every fight is avoided like the plague because of boredom and unwillingness to kill a pointless squirrel monster which will give you fuck all xp.

I found myself actively doing the side missions without much teenage angst towards the person asking me to do something.

The level of depth in this game is immense too, deciding every single sentence your character says is a pretty good feature (if not a little drawn out a certain stages).

I was actually the exact same, got it for xmas with ass creed and was heavily into cod4 at the time. Took awhile to get into, at the beginning i just couldn't be arsed.

So I got it yesterday

Currently looking for Liara, I think I've got the right damn planet this time but there's fucking Geth everywhere, Ashley keeps running out in front of the tripod thing and getting fucked up, Wrex as usual has to clean up her mess, but then he usually dies trying, and I get fucked in the ass shortly after.

Goddamn Geth.

Also, Graphics are good, but not as good as Gears of War or UT3, and those are both on the same engine, BioWare dropped the ball slightly.

The name of the planet is Therum or however you spell it. Theres Lava everywere. I think you have the right planet though.

Yup, there's popping when I load a level, not usually when I'm moving, it shifts into the ram pretty quick, but I have noticed it on occasion.

And yeah, I'm on the right planet.

Okay, make Gears as expansive as Mass Effect and see if it's the same level of visual detail.

I feel obliged to make a new character in ME1 now, because starting one in ME2 seems a little gay :/

With that said I absolutely agree with the worst port part, shits pretty awful. In some ways ME2 seems even more like a console game than a pc game to me, but at least it looks tight.

The game looked like shit and performed like shit on my Nvidia and ATI cards. Of course popping is prevelant on 360 for good reason: why is it on the PC?
