Metal Gear 1 and 2 are shit. Especially the non-canon Snake's Revenge. They didn't sell well til the NES port either.

They were made in the early 80's and Hideo Made them all by himself. Commodore 64's were expensive at the time being a full built computer until the NES came out.

They were classic good games.

My Uncle Owns Velcro plants in japan and brought me back the original MG beta. It's the incomplete version with bugs and everything. with some parts left out.. Snake looked like a stick in it, he didn't even look like a somewhat pixilated form of a man.

no, it was pretty legit. It was all Japanese so I couldn't really understand it.. but it was neat, a bit different from the first Metal Gear but yeah gg.

Although I'm not a fan of the series I'm quite aware of its dark appearance/theme. Think it's a little to bright yourself as the images show or do you like the bright colours in the trailers etc.?
