I dont have Starcraft 2, but apparently, if you keep the game on the menu for too long, and you have a graphics card that's vulnerable to it, your graphics card can die (Menu does not have fps limit; causes 100% load; burn burn burn; bye bye graphics card)

Yea, that can be fixed by adding these lines to Documents\Starcraft II\Variables.txt:

frameratecapglue=30
frameratecap=60

Blizzard is working on a patch to fix it, while it's not done do it manually. Those command lines will limit your frames to 60 per second.

Has anyone got a list where the game is subscription based (Free with Wow account or 6 months then sub?)?, I know it is in Russia, Brazil and Korea.

Also on note of what I mentioned to Dae yesterday, will you get banned for playing in an area with a different region version of the game? Was it like this in World of Warcraft? (Although I remember US players playing with us EU in a guild I was in)

:V lol. getting insulted for almost being raped and resorting to MAXIMUM turtling and adapting to his mutas.

He successfully harassed me at the start with zerglings, hero marine and wall in saves me from another wall. He destroys my first expansion with a god damn Muta squad. Destroys a few turrets when he brings that squad to my main base. Literally scared of expanding except for the base close to me so I focus on getting the attack on now while his force is gone, head for the middle point WHOOPS I STUPIDLY ROLLED VIKINGS VS MUTAS desecrate my squads, attacks base almost rapes everything, had to move CC into line of mineral line turrets. I make a lot of marine and 3 thors and move them to the north west for the attack I planned. See 40+ mutas and I'm shitting it, scanned him and mocked with "Hello", he attacks main base yet severly fails this time, move squads to expansion near my thors and bring them in, destroy hydralisks and move onto his main base while he QQs.

NOT A SINGLE FUCK WAS GIVEN THAT DAY

I couldn't resist when I saw the box in a local store here :(

I expect them to provide an option to upgrade my account later. Right now there is already a button for that in the interface, but it returns an error.

It's perfectly logical to isolate Russians from the rest of the world (judging by my L4D2 experience) :lol:

So I completed the singleplayer.

Overall thoughts:
— It was a little shorter than I expected.
— The gameplay has been ported very well, I enjoyed finding all the same stuff and hearing the same sounds as back then, when I was a kid. No "universal ammo" (figuratively speaking) kind of shit game devs love to introduce in the subsequent releases of their great games.
— The missions are pretty interesting and unusual, but I wish there were more challenging ones like the last one.
— The storyline seems overly straightforward even for my (unpretending) liking, the characters are dull, dialogues are boring and jokes are plain.
— I liked the last mission and the ending though.
— The Mac port lags (due to Apple's drivers), but besides it's technically flawless.

As some reviewer concluded, the game is a pill against nostalgia.

What's worrying me though, do I have to wait another decade to play for terrans again?!

In Brazil u can upgrade your account to Unlimited or buy the American version, everything at http://us.battle.net/pt/ . Even 6-months-limited the Brazilian version is pretty good, all dialogs translated, even the textures and the voices are translated.

Maybe u should have a look at the European Battle.net.

I really want SC2, I just don't want to spend £35 on a game I'll play for like 20 hours for campaign and that's about it, then have to spend another £35 on the expansions, but I don't like torrenting good games :(

Nope, I bet we'd be able to play them as a mini campaign... you did play the mini Protoss campaign right?

Also there was a secret mission if you blew up a neutral building on the Odin parade mission very south east of the map, it was a very very hard (depending on difficulty) hero mission with Jim and a squad of marines infiltrating a lab on an asteroid. SADLY you've got to do this in an active campaign, you can't replay the mission so don't bother.

The storyline seems overly straightforward even for my (unpretending) liking, the characters are dull, dialogues are boring and jokes are plain.

Disagreed with the first part, definitely agreed with the later. JAMESSSSS RAAAAYNOR, I BRING YOU TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDINGS OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. BUT some characters were solid like both Mengsk, Kerrigan and Tychus.

Also for anyone planning to buy SC2 and wants to get into the MP (ez), just add me on the sig. (Surprise.820) Hating how my w/l only includes league games lol.
