Idk, Oblivion wasn't flawless but if it wasn't as good as it was, Fallout 3 wouldn't have been as good as it was.

That said

why skyrim

iirc people only played oblivion because it was pretty and massive and people only played fallout 3 because it was made by "the people who created oblivion"

shallow is reality here

Mass Effect 3 will start with Shepard on Earth, facing trial for the events that occur in The Arrival DLC for Mass Effect 2. The Reapers strike halfway through the trial, and the prologue covers Shepard’s battle to reach the Normandy and escape the planet.

After that, it’s a matter of getting another crew together to take on the Reaper menace and save Earth.

The Illusive Man will also return. Cerberus have turned against you again in the third game, and will be hunting you across the galaxy as you try to stop the Reaper invasion.

  • A few old friends will be returning as squad mates, including Liara, Ashley/Kaiden and, if he’s alive, Garrus.
  • Providing they survived the previous games, Wrex, Mordin, Legion, and Anderson will be in Mass Effect 3, though not as members of your team.
  • Bioware say they’ve beefed up the levelling mechanics to offer a greater choice of abilities. Skill trees will be larger, and powers can be evolved several times.
  • There have been some tweaks to the weapons systems, too. All characters can use any weapon, but different classes will have a limited number of weapons slots. Only the soldier class will be able to carry all of them at once. Weapon mods will let you add scopes and different barrels to your weapons, changing the look and effectiveness of each gun.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

To concentrate your thoughts on Mass Effect 3 not having the Dragon Age 2 treatment let me just end with this opening quote stolen from Nirolak on NeoGAF:

Mass Effect 2 Producer Jesse Houston wrote:Also it'll have been more than two years since many of the members of the Dev team stopped working on ME2 and when ME3 ships! That's a long time in game development standards folks.

Source: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/to...x/5439971&lf=8

That would put the start of ME3's development by "many of the members of the Dev team" at December 2008, since that post was in very early January 2011.

Mass Effect 2 was released in January 2010.

Plus we know more about Mass Effect 3 right now than we did about Dragon Age 2 1 month before it's release LOLOLOL

LOL yes. Don't know why they didn't just build upon the old face model and give her the new hair, they fucked her up and the only resemblance is lips. I mean look at Kaidan he has same face but different textures + stubble.

It's also important to note there is a special ops troop bursting through the sunroof of Shepard's quarters.

6 in ME1

You use a total of 14 party members in ME2, only three were from the previous (Garrus, Liara and Tali)

ME3 brings back Kaidan or Ashley, Garrus and Liara as party members. Wrex confirmed to not be a party member again and no confirmation of Tali to appear in the game at all wololol.

No new romances with new characters (thank God)

New same sex romances with old characters (see following quote)

>ME1 and ME2
>Talk to male crew members, use Paragon options, bros 4 life
>ME3
>Talk to male crew members, use Paragon options
>SHEPARD TAKE MY SPIKEY COCK WHILE MY FOUR BALLS SLAP AGAINST YOUR ASS
>SHEPARD DO YOU WANT ME TO CALIBRATE YOUR ANUS
>WE HAVE REACHED A CONSENSUS THAT YOU ARE SEXY
>WOULD TRY YOU

Custom characters with multiple races confirmed for a 4 player co-op campaign mode which enhances your progress through singleplayer or something.

Unleash your EA Origin inside my a hole, there's no way I'm not biotic stun locking with a friend come release day.

I hope they don't let the SP gameplay suffer too much because of the Co - Op

personally i couldn't care less. if the co op = front lines of the war, singleplayer doesn't need to be all action giving more room for rpg elements.

me2 was two discs for 360.

Does the addition of co-op multiplayer missions impact the scope or quality of the single-player experience?

No. A dedicated team from our recently formed BioWare Montreal studio has been focused on creating the multiplayer game features while the main game continued to be developed by the team in BioWare Edmonton. Both teams are integrated under the same leadership group that produced Mass Effect 1 and 2, led by Casey Hudson. BioWare remains dedicated to delivering one of the most amazing single-player campaigns gamers have ever experienced.

The first (and possibly most controversial) item of note is three different play modes. There's Action, catering to those who want less talk and more shooting, Story mode for those who want to focus on Bioware's magnificent writing and dialogue, and RPG, which seems to be a mix of the two for those who want a more 'pure' Mass Effect experience. Now, while no one can really confirm these modes will be available in the actual release (these modes may be purely for game play testing purposes,) it's caused a bit of a stir and has a lot of mouths running. It's worth nothing as well that a lot of textures and sounds are missing from this beta version of the game, so don't be too put off.
