Have you seen the magazine scans for this?

It's literally Fallout with swords (no sarcasm), removal of the astrology system for perks.

ALSO DUEL WIELDING
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... Brace for worse than Oblivion but at least it has a competent engine.

I'm pumped.

I could probably sell my gfx card to buy the game and still play it lol

Bethesda needs an engine that doesn't suck.

New Vegas has the MOST bugs/glitches out of just about any game I've played.

Skyrim speedrun only lasted 2 hours 16 minutes 10 seconds.

He completed the game with a level 1 character

Yeah and it was probably on the lowest difficulty. Just like the DXHR reviews all being played on anything but "Give Me Deus Ex", and then complaining about stupid AI, etc.

I won't believe shit until I play it for myself. Bulldozer reminded me of this today. EVERYONE thought it was going to be amazing.. there were screen shots of mind blowing frequencies. Then it came out and was sub-par.

Believe none of what you see, and only half of what you hear.

The game has scaled leveling, enemies pose no threat if you don't play the game 'properly'. Also if the game's main quest can be done like that disregarding enemies for objective, wow. Then again main quests in Bethesda games are terrible. Fact of the matter is Bethesda games are so terrible they will eventually be fixed by the community's embrace of mods you guys are flipping over the game's pacing being shite.

I find it funny how you two took it badly, sorry for posting a blog link.

(As bug ridden as New Vegas was, the reception for the videogame has been mainly positive as Obsidian Entertainment was pretty much the same team at Interplay who worked on Fallout 2. They know what they were doing. I'm mentioning this because Bethesda games normally get slaughtered by the fans.)

Old Elder Scrolls skill and astrology mechanics in favour of Fallout series-esqe perks.

Hence the reversal of the joke about Fallout 3. Please observe threads correctly. Ta.

4 games without dragons (?) is a pretty impressive feat for a fantasy series tbh.

Don't think there's some way they could make it work?

Well.. of course there is..... but we all know they probably aren't going to do anything about it.

Didnt work with Oblivion or Fallout 3. Plus makes the game less interesting as you dont see bigger enemies til higher levels. Humanoid enemies get new armour but no variance. Sad to see leather bandits then 10 levels later theyre all wearing expensive glass armour

I love games where you can go off exploring at a low level and come across massive creatures, etc.

If they don't make this work.. It's a write off :/ (not entirely though. Still worth playing)

I love this sort of thing! Level scaling in Oblivion was total balls and almost ruined the game for me (eg. being attacked by allegedly poor bandits with their full daedric :/), but still enjoyed it for like a few hundred hours.

And yeah the speedrun thing from their blog made me worry, but I guess it's still a full hour / almost 100% longer than their Oblivion run. Admittedly I don't really touch main quests in Bethesda games until the end though.

True; Bethesda games are really badly made, but I am a sucker for the open-world stuff.

God thing those games are capable of getting modded the crap out of them.

There's usually a mod out there that gets rid of level scaling or makes it at least a bit better.

If you get these games for a console then, well, yeah it probably sucks.

I probably could have completed Oblivion in 6 or less hours if I wanted to

Instead I spent 100 hours exploring, doing side quests and at the end of it I was less than a third of the way through the main story, hadn't finished the dark brotherhood questline, hadn't even begun the fighters guild questline, and hadn't even seen my first piece of Glass Armour yet.

Same with Fallout 3 (although that I did finish) and the same with Fallout NV

Its how bethesda make their games and I'm used to it. And yes I know Fallout NV was an Obsidian game but i dgaf same engine same feel

Not to mention that Bethesda Artists gave Obsidian Artists a guideline on fallout-esk environments.

I only wish devs would perfect things like the old days and not "KAY GAME IS FINISHED. WELL PATCH SHIT LATER GOGOGO"

FIRST GOOD/COMPLETE BETHESDA GAME EVER.

Definitely worth purchasing!

MY god, the amount of detail that went into this!

Not one bug yet either! There's even kids in this one!

Everything feels so fluid and natural.

Lol, I love it to pieces so far! :)

let's hope it stays that way...

Love that you can take multiple, complete different paths to the game.

Also, I want to install the mod that lets you kill the kids.
