To be honest we could have made a new thread. The initiative behind preserving is it to keep history and statistics, though in my opinion the only thing it has is statistics of less than 20 word posts and a lot of SlipKnot. But Daedalus, Alex and myself (to a lesser extent because I do stupid things sometimes) would like to keep anything on the forum, for the many reasons it can provide. Information is good.

although in hand it feels much closer to my beloved G5/MX518 unlike DeathAdder which was designed with alien claw in mind

You can't generalise them as all terrible, their old ones were actually pretty damn good (and sometimes superior to Logitech). The trouble is, DPI WARZ.

It's a simple mouse I use for my laptop. No special features, don't know what DPI. But it's shape is perfect, and so is it's simplicity and price. I bought it first, and now 4 others that I know bought the same mouse.

Oh, and I can game decently with it. Don't need no expensive mouse for that. Iwonder if people who buy a $ 100 mouse suddenly get a lot better at gaming.

About G5? I can't agree with it. G5 is used by some great players. The most of the time it turns between 2 mouses : MX518 (Never tried) and G5. ^^

No idea what you are on about with small hands. I know the G5 is bigger, but I have massive hands and no problem with the MX518.

It doesn't magically make it bad for people with huge hands bale.

They're essentially the same mouse, g5 has a uhhh, steeper(?) grip and is larger. Preference.

That's because it's actually a great mouse and it doesn't have stupid neon lights or THE DPISSSSSSSSSS over the actual quality of the mouse.

Razer isn't shit, they're just overpriced on many things.

However, they're incredible value for certain other things.

For example: Blackwidow keyboard mechanical keyboard for like £60 when an equivalent would normally cost you £130-£200.

If price happens to undeservingly outweigh the performance, then it is a shit purchase. Not necessarily the product it's self (I correct myself).

NOW....

I'm focusing on a real mouse. Should I go with the MX518 or Ikari.

Since the rat7 is laser, I figure I'll change it up, and go optical to have the best of both worlds.

From what I hear, MX518 is the best for performance/precision.

The Ikari is still good for performance, but is also best for comfort (apparently the best comfort mouse in existence atm), and anti-sweat.

I'm torn. GOOD THING IS that they are both 2x cheaper than the rat.

Fucking incontrol, having a fucking Xai mouse. I want one but my MX518 is fine, and Clix said his lasted for like 5-7 years. :V

As for my headphones I'm okay with my Siberia SteelSeries which I bought 2 years ago but I'd rather have a HD555 or HD655, like the Xai, I'm not spending hundreds when I have a pair of working headphones at the moment.

Also about peripherals I don't like that I own:
I hate my G15 keyboard. I have the newer one, which is so light and flies around my shitty desk and the button placement is horrible. I feel that it is absolutely shite and see no bonus over a standard keyboard (of course, a decent keyboard, not one with bad ghosting or whatever)

I think they're like 80 quid. Thankfully I didn't buy it, mother bought me it for my 21st birthday. I wish it just breaks as an excuse to buy a new keyboard.
