Hey Derek, (or anyone else that knows)

Which case is that? I'm considering buying a new case.

There are a huge array of monolithic designs out there, you will find a substitute. :)

I don't necessarily mind this.

I love looking at cases and seeing some of the awesome designs, I also love looking at custom-built cases that reference video games, movies, etc but for practicality, I don't really care about them.

My case looks like shit and it sucks, which is why I want a new one. I don't find myself starting at my case a helluva lot and so I'd rather one that had the best cooling ever than the one that only I'll ever look at, and not all that much.

I'd honestly rather a cool-looking keyboard or monitor, than a case, but that's just me.

My current case is Rice Xtreem

TBH, I'd much rather have better airflow and a classy case, then a riced as fuck case that keeps me awake at night.

Yeah, I haven't shut my PC off in a LONNNNNG time.

Since we're talking about cases

This will be my new one

I've seen that many a time, but I can't remember what model it is.

It's a sexy case.

mid or full though?

Next case I get will be full for the erection sized GPU's coming out in the future.

Mid. It will be going on my desk so I can touch it and lick it, and a full would be too large for such purposes.

It's a Fractal Design R3. -- they make a full version called the XL though.

If you're going for full though, you might as well go ALL OUT and get this bad boy

MMMMMMMMM sexy

I've seen that case before too.

How many praxis kits can it hold?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have to turn mine off at night or I'll never get to fucking sleep.

Yeah mate.

Good thing about the Lexa S are the fan knobs.

HOWEVER, this does not shut off my side fan LED, my front two LED's and my BIG PURPLE LED fan on the front.

I was planning to get my new PC by like April 30th.

I realise now Ivy Bridge is coming out very, very shortly thereafter.

Is it worth waiting for if I'm planning on getting an i7?

Jay y u no get a 680? When you are already buying high end you might as well go nuts. And why SATA II?

Blah, wouldn't mind getting a bigger HDD, something faster, too.

Maybe when I've got a job and aren't studying. :P Though, I'd probably just buy a whole new rig then.

The speed at which PCs age is very, very unfortunate for the average student.

Comin' at you live from my new build.

HOLY SHIT SO MANY COLOURS SO BEAUTIFUL HOW DID I EVER SURVIVE WITHOUT 2560x1400 RES JESUS CHRIST

Mechanical keyboards are actually as good as people hype them up to be, and blue leds make your pc look awesome as fuck

that is all

(no i didnt get the fractal case, too boring. when you buy a beast you want it to look as such, so I went with a CM 690-II)

Mechanical keyboards are boss, I wouldn't mind one.

I'd probably annoy the shit out of everyone around me with one, too, since I have a tendency to bash the shit out of my keys and call it "typing".

I prefer red but yeah, they're pretty goddamn annoying when you want to live your PC on overnight for downloads or whatever (backups come to mind, too) and this giant blue light is constantly flickering.

Careful with that Gigabyte mobo James, the Z68/Z77 series are becoming quite notorious lately for their instability and infinite boot loops

As for cooling I'd recommend the classic Hyper 212 from Coolermaster

Pair it up with a good case and maybe some Scythe ultra kaze fans and you're good 2 go

Jay. Cooling. Corsair H60.

I've been using mine for more than a year with zero issues. Works amazingly. Had CPU OD'ed at 5Ghz for a long time.
