E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy

This is a source engine powered indie game that came out a week ago. I haven't bought it but my friends are saying it is similar to Deus Ex 1. It looks incredibly ambitious for an indie and I am eager to buy it and try it out. Maybe Deus Ex 1 coop can happen, just with a different engine and universe :P

Please post your thoughts below.

It's not free is it?, like a proper retail price right?

I heard some good things about it, is it the full version or is just a glorified beta?

Been looking it up, consensus of a lot of people of a thread I'm looking at who "took the plunge" say "it's good".

They describe it as a complex shooter but not like Deus Ex, the style is closer to a first person Syndicate. There's a ton of customisation (with some issues as some options cheese the game. The game is a basic point a to b shooter with a lot of ways to get to there.

I'm definitely willing to play this game, but not this month. Maybe at Christmas I'll buy it when its less than 18 dollars.

Ah well I guess it'll depend on how we all define Deus Ex :D Any game that is similar to Deus Ex would be an awesome one, right?

^Agreed, but even if they made a DX sequel as amazing as the first game it'd never have that "wow" factor... ya can never be twelve and playing your first proper computer game again....... </nostalgia>

Reason I came on here was to see if any of you had played it. I've read a few reviews and it seems like it has some potential.

I'm going to take the "plunge" as it were. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ah nice! How is it? Nah I still don' t have it but apparently it is only $10 when not on sale. Their news page had "The release of a little free DLC and the demo is close."

I purchased it in the sale - I mean, it was only £1.24 not much could go wrong. To be honest, I'm pleasently suprised, it is a very enjoyable game once you get used to the system.
