One of the greatest videogames to exist drops tomorrow. You may recognise that it has a similar title to 2009's Demon Souls.

You don't know what Demon Souls is?, it is a hack and slash RPG of sorts for the PS3. It is a brilliant game and hard as nails, but with satisfaction beaming from the very struggles you endure. It was as close as you can get to a perfect player vs monster game. Did I mention it was a great player vs player griefer too?

But what is Dark Souls?

Dark Souls is Demon Souls' multi platform cousin that expands on the formula, making it a deeper, harder, better game than its predecessor.



Did I mention it is a western style game by a Japanese developer?, aw shit!

Oh and it has co-op too, not just a PVP nightmare fest when you invite other players.

If you own a PS3 or 360, you have no reason not to get this game. Seriously, this game is getting sick critical acclaim.

If you loved the first Diablo game, get this fucking game.

Looks cool, never particularly interested in single player games though. (minus the odd, like DX)

A linear hard game with a lot of depth in character customisation and gear with a simple story that doesn't need you to see for 4 days looking at Wikis to understand Japanese plotholes.

I liked demon's souls, but I didn't think it was amazing. I'll play it at my friend's first. He impulse buys games, so he might get it sometime.

...it was a community (Atlus) publisher tag line. Their localisation team are meme tards (see; Persona) hence the PS3 has no games reference.

The PVP atm is a mess, a beautiful stupid mess. There's a combination of spells + invisibility and high endurance that is harassing everyone.

There's also a ring that turns you into an environmental object such as a bush or pot. So you can hide forever in someone's game and stalk them as a box if you wish.

Can i throw it at people once i buy it?

You might be able to play the 360 version on Windows 8's emulation for 360 games if that ever happens.

A lot of PC gamers purchased a PS3 just for Demon's Souls (you should have seen the hype for the game months after it was released, cult hit and a half) because of the talk that happened in communities about the game leaving players in amazement and so they will share their tales. Along with NIER, both games are this generation's golden gems.

I think it should be in From Software's best interests to provide a PC port because the average gamer is loyal to fantasy genre videogames.
