Half Life Forever :3

PMSL Half life forever.

Yeah ok James nobody said hate I suppose...

Still gives me goosebumps in parts, especially ep2 (for argument's sake HL2 to me means all of them, it's not the technical greatness per se that does it for me it's the generally enthralling storyline and stuff, so I group 'em together).

Half-life 3 or whatever the hell they're gonna call it. I can't understand why they're fucking about with other games when none of them IMO come even anywhere near close to Half-life. Played half of Portal 1, must say I love it, not played 2 yet.

Played L4d (first one) and loved it. BUUUUUUUUUT.... it ain't no Half-Life. Not really aware of other stuff they've done, I tend to only play older games most of the time. Like, err, DX. Or SS2 as I am currently. Again.

it is more fun to create new IPs at the moment for them and they're exploring different genres now. they cant spend forever trying to augment a story onto a simple shooter. :)

First person shooter
First person puzzle-platformer
Top down shooter
DOTA/MOBA/Action-RTS (LOL)

If it was up to the average gamer (idiots) they'd eat up rehash after rehash. Be thankful they're taking time to release the next installment of their franchises.

Call of Duty : Half Life 3

In all seriousness, FPS has been boring me for a while now and i've not played anything in recent times to convince me it's gonna get better any time soon.

Yet a ton of boring games announced that are going to be on the PSN store anyway are planned...

:]
:]
:]

I think the only exciting games are rumoured ports. SCEE heavily involved in this, organising a lot of meetings with publishers and developers during the last few weeks regarding Vita games.

Besides don't people already have one?, I recall that house musician Deadmau5 recently lost his.

During its first week on sale in Japan, PS Vita sold 320 K units. The sales period tracked was just two days, so hopeful fans thought that perhaps the first full week would bring good news.

But the second week brought devastation – just 72 K units sold. When Nintendo launched its latest handheld, the sales of the 3DS declined from 370 K to 210K over the first two weeks.

Trusting DXALPHA and not James on the opinion of videogame hardware and software in the year 2011. Please improve in 2012.

SWAT 5 :D Swat 4 is the best tactical shooter on PC in my opinion but it would be even awesome if it is expanded upon.

Is it really surprising that other consoles (mostly Nintendo) are more popular in Japan? The figures haven't changed much over the years in that particular region.

The thing is, you really do look elitist when you try to call companies like Sony out over a sudden lack of sales in one region.

I'm not a huge fan of Sony but I believe if a company has a global market (which we all know Sony does) then you should compare stats on a global range, not on a per-region basis. That might be cool and interesting when you're comparing region data, but it's not necessarily useful as an overall look at how a product is performing overall.

I admit I have a form of biased against Sony, but for the reasons you've not mentioned. You see the 3DS was considered a flop at first by videogame tabloids but Vita's failure to sell hasn't received as much attention so I'm very bitter.

If you must know, I believe the Vita has also failed to reach expected sales in its first worldwide term in Japan, USA, Americas, Asia and the UK. However, it has considerably made a lot of sales in Europe.

On the subject of the Vita, I feel it is a poor portable console, as I feel about the PSP and the current incarnation of the 3DS. The current and future videogame library leaves much to desire for myself but I am very intriqued by Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Daze.

I agree, to be honest. I've never really been a big Sony fan though, and I'm not entirely sure why some media outlets are revering the Sony Vita when I've seen multiple sets of data indicating that it's not doing as well as was expected.

Honestly, I've never paid for a handheld console in my life. The last one I got (a Nintendo DS) was a gift, and the only reason I want a new one is because my one has a bung touch-screen and it randomly freezes regularly (mostly my own fault, raging at a DS does that :P).

I don't really care for any console gaming. The only reason I wanted an NDS was because I still get some enjoyment out of the Pokemon and Zelda games (as repetitive as all those series are). That's basically it. Oh, and also because I have a flash cart and some of the homebrew is freakin' amazing.
