ShootMania

Postby UT » Thu Jan 05, 12 8:31 pm

No more skill in FPS. I've also stopped video games due to this.

But it seems that Nadeo (TrackMania's creator) is developping a new FPS based on Quake and CS gameplay.

ShootMania, beta should come in few months:)

A little test from 2 pro gamers :

When did games stop being about enjoyment and start being about a dogmatic dedication to 'skill'?

Looks pretty promising actually. Loved the idea behind TrackMania so this could be great.
Signatures are dumb.

Chloe's obsession with skill is hilarious, but balanced competitive games with high skill ceiling are the best multiplayer games for me.

The best to keep in your games library and abruptly stop playing? :$

You can blame StarCraft 2's fantastic on-demand televised matches for that.

Because some players find some fun when this is skilled?

Ofc, I play sometimes some casuals games like Rayman, but only when this is for special events with friends. (For the new year, example)

But when I buy a game to play it many hours. I can't find the point to play billion hours for fun because it becomes pointless/a waste of time...

Instead of, high-skilled games where you up your skill/capacities everyday and try to find tactics to beat your opponents. Finally, all of this, create a community of hardcore gamers that enjoy competitive gaming and difficulty. You play cups with prize money and have an objective, try to reach the gold medal and win some money/stuff.

This is like you are accomplishing something.

My point is hard to explain and I don't think that you care much about, so I end it.

About Shootmania:

Happy, that some of you enjoyed the idea. I Hope the game will be as good as TrackMania games.

I don't like Shootmania, really find the action dodgy and quite boring.

It's nothing like Quake. The only similarity is that it's an arena shooter.
