All we know is that this game is open world and the protagonist has long hair, maybe blonde. Well, that was the techdemo months back.

Tech demonstrations of FOX, 4th image of office left = real of course. 5th is to demonstrate lighting and the reflection of surfaces which I think this new engine excels at. I've not seen any good footage of the engine in motion, there's gifs and shakeycams but not much.

That is VERY impressive. Similar to Square's new engine.

I'll be glad to play the next MGS on PC

Lighting will be better in all games when devs realize they can't make EVERYTHING shiny. Different materials light differently, it should be obvious, but not many devs have invested money into this research and development.

Yeah, but it's un-optimised as fuck/oops we made crysis2 DX9 srry gys

Not to mention that Crytek does not have scanning technology such as this. Scanning real world objects into an engine can make the world of difference if done properly.

The original Crysis didn't have many optimisation problems. It was just ahead of its time. And Crysis 2 is what happens when you start making PC games for consoles.

Anyway I didn't want this to turn into a Crytek thread so I will shut up now
