First in-house event planned, any date from 8th-11th of May at around this time:

Dota 2 is a free 5v5 action game. You play as a single hero on a team of 5. The goal is to strategise and combat each-other to push into the enemy base and destroy their ancient throne. The game uses RPG and RTS mechanics for game-play including leveling up, doing different item builds and an extreme emphasis on information.

Where do I get it?

When?
Anytime in May, June or whenever. If there's enough interest we could try doing regular in-house matches but this is just to test the waters.

As for time and days, I don't know. I'm going to assume we do it over weekends... as for time, let's say 10PM CET/6PM EDT for like an hour or more depending on amount of people.

How do I play noob game?
If you're worried about not knowing how to start learning the game, there's tons of tutorials in-game to put you through baby-steps. It shows you the general play of the game, how mechanics work and offers you to play vs bots and other players with simple to use characters.

There's also external information like:

I can personally coach you in-game or give you tips.

Ordinary games can take anything from 25-50 minutes at a time, there's a lot of rest and reflecting during the wait for re spawning.

Rules?
No rules, but I want the DXMP in-house to be a fun, positive and experimental environment to try and become a regular thing in the community. Any mode is up for grabs and whoever organises them is free to do so. Just please come and ask to play.

Any configration or start-up tips?
Yes. I recommend starting up the game with these parameters added to one of your Dota 2 shortcuts to run the game in Borderless Windowed mode and to skip the introduction videos:
-sw -noborder -novid

Final words
Please consider this. It'll be fun.

I also recommend using one of the following autoexec configuration files to optimise your game. It can disable a lot of weird design decisions that could confuse new players and/or can be used as a crutch if you know what you're modifying.
To create one, please dump the text from one of the following Pastebin links to a text editor program and save it as the following filename plus extension of 'autoexec.cfg' (without hyphens) to the [your installation folder]\dota\cfg\ directory.

Lite version:

RTZ version:
http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=iwv8T5vU
My version:
http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=PPWBNma2

I recommend using the Lite version, the RTZ version is used by a pro-player and my version is what Lite is based on but without anything removed.
