I found VATS really like a saving grace (in a bad way). When I was starting I had no ammo, nothing because of mole rat bum rush every five minutes and that's great because it makes you cling on to resources as much as possible. However if my hunting rifle ever strayed I would always just say "BUGGER THIS! VATS time!". It really broke the sense of desperation.

What is crap is (as Ruben said) the same crappy animations used for oblivion. That and the lack of variety for the female character's; all the same shell of one preset liking. The same is to be said for Ghouls, all are IDENTICAL.

Third person mode looks poo.

The writing is brutal
The ending is terrible
The animations are shit (Try diagonal running in 3rd person. I've seen the camera it defaults to on the 360, no fucking wonder it's so close.)
The art direction is uninspired and bland for the most part, brown brown brown brown brown brown brown, Gears of War had more colour.
Even the witcher has an isometric camera option, fix the bollocks animations and add this in.
VATS is retarded and pointless, since all you have to do is circlestrafe with a power fist and you win the game
The followers are ridiculous, Dogmeat is shit and a liablity, Cross is god and you can leave her to fight AND WIN every battle for you

I've lost Charon!

*SPOILER ALERT*

During the escape from Project Purity I went in to the sewers and the door sealed shut, trapping Charon. He kept walking in to the door until I thought "There's no way he's can get back to me during this quest". His face popped through so I talked to him and told him he was fired (find him later on in Underworld). Went to Underworld to retrieve him and he was no where to be seen.

Any help will be appreciated, I already have Fawkes and he is great but Charon had 5 miniguns, 20 scrap metal and fucking Outcast equipped. Is it possible to resummon him? If so, code please.

I apologize guys, for topic revival. I've only recently been exposed to the awesomeness that is PC gaming

This is a great game, in all honesty. I assumed the role of a Chinese officer with matching clothes and guns, and tried to do almost every mission with superior stealth. While not all my missions were that way (damn ghouls), it was still pretty fun to use VATS and all that.

The radio, in-game, also surprised me. It's got some great tunes on there. My only complaints would have to be dialogue, like many others said, and Fawkes being totally useless in a fight. I love the giant robot and his random dialogues while crushing the shit out of stuff, spurting out something anti-communism.

But yeah, I still need to download The Pit & Anchorage expansions. Anyone tried them yet ?

I uninstalled FO3 before mods got big. I hear Anchorage is just corridor shooting which is a shame, but The Pitt is actually good.

Wasn't the same for me, I marched ahead and absorbed a shitton of bullets while he probably watched in a lawn chair eating chips and laughing.

Well he also tends to fight every single enemy nearby, even ones you can avoid and walk away from, he will go after, which means you have to wait on him.

I told him to switch his combat style to melee. Maybe that's the problem.

That's probably the problem because he always use to go mental and kill everything on mine as well. Till he messed with a super mutant behemoth and got killed lmao!
