A Brand new Concept!! (Need help and more ideas...)

Hello guys..this is my first post over here.
I ve got a brand new exiting concept...though i m a newbie to the community..but i thought it would be nice to share my thoughts...

Actually i was thinkin of creating a hell lotta revolutionary change to the game...ok here goes my idea...and plz remember its just an idea from a newbie like me...so forgive me if its too stupid...

1. Creating a new player model to be used in MP. This could be anything like MJ12 soldiers, Commandos, MIB, or even Bums..lol

2. This way we can have 3 choices to chose from when entering a MP game..i.e. UNATCO...NSF...and the third one.

3. This will result in a all new 3-way team deathmatch. i.e. there will be three teams rather than 2 and every team will have two opposing forces.

4. Creating new maps with three strongholds or base for each team. The map could be somewat like Suntemple map from UT 2004( actually i got this idea from dat map).

5. An obvious change in the score list which will now have 3 teams.

so dats all....its a pretty huge project...but its a nice concept (atleast dats wat i think)..so tell me wat u guys say bout this..

I ve posted the same topic on DXMS forums too....I m sure they can help a lot too

first, while dxms will help, they are not all coders

This idea is a bit bizzarre and certainly a big task( I've heard all this before) which will require work and as you mentioned, the maps will have to be a LOT bigger. For example, imagine smuggler with 3 teams, it would get messy

However, I won't shoot it down, but go to dxediting, you need coders as well

If this idea actually Comes into being an actual project with some progress, I will offer you guys some forum space on the upcoming dxcounty forums(oh god ive said that too much already -_-)

To be honest I wouldn't say there are more experienced mp coders on dxediting than here. They specialise on the singleplayer and can do much more than us for it, but not for mp.

And Imperial I told you many times, that the community was always and still is drowning in different forums and most of these forums are totally useless, if not dangerous. Dozens of good mods were wasted because their authors started development from creating forums, rather than actually working, and when they recieved an acclaim they were losing any motivation to go on. The modders first should make at least 75% and only then create forums or a website. Promises and words are weightless, as well as the source of them — the forums.

That's why I said " If it shows progress"

If I saw substantial work that was being done and if it was promising is what I am saying

Also, if you think the forums I am getting are on some crappy freehost, you are wrong

I didn't say anything about a host, I say that most of the forums in this community are a useless piece of shit ran by attention whores.

You seek for attention, too. And creating a forum is the easiest way, however it's a dead-end. You'd rather try to manage a mod like this one - of 3 teams or something similar, that would be much more useful than a forum with subforums for, say, a million of projects and a popularity of at least this forum. I'm not going to make a million subforums, a few yes, but not a lot

I plan to host two or three projects on a wide range that's it

Bens dxag being one of them.

You may think I can't do it, but to be honest Daedalus I don't care...

You mentioned to me in a pm that you tried to make A a community forum, so, are you not in fact guilty of

also? I've done this before, I managed dxmn, the only reason that didn't turn out to plan as I hoped is because I could have advertised it A LOT more, I stopped at 2 issues as well and it was a free forum

However after summer, I will be able to put dedication into it.

Probably my fault, that you misunderstood me — I don't imply that seeking for attention is a bad thing of course. All I want to say is that forums are the least useful for the community contemporary, thus the least effective way to do get attention. I believe the community needs more action — clans, clanwars, releases, etc.
In the end of 2003, 3 giant forums either closed or died and that what boosted this forum's popularity; otherwise this forum would hardly become visited. There was a "demand" for forums then, not that I craved for attention. As far as I know, along with [A] forum also [3]'s forum became quite popular after those events.

You may think I can't do it, but to be honest Daedalus I don't care...

I said that setting up a forum is the easiest way. It takes only a few clicks.

You don't know how it's going to turn out..

I only expect and usually expectations come true.

Don't take it as I want this forum to be a center of the universe — that's not me. I only want to point out how I see the situation. Take it as a friendly advice on where to channel your efforts when you have such intention.

The forums are based for a gm server too, it's not going to be all text based

And yes, there will be a forum for clans, clanwars etc. I was thinking about that yesterday

So it doesn't all have to be text based.

Hmm, let's think why? YOU NEVER RELEASED THE MOD. When I wanted to host it 2 days ago, I had to search everywhere to get it. Eventually Daedalus sent it to me.

Why isn't the P90 in Stargate mod!
