Must....kill....boredom!

I really enjoy watching a series of an anime and reading the manga (Bleach etc.) but I have never found the one that is ultra-violent and isn't very popular. Could the anime-watchers spring forth and bring up some suggestions?
A CNN reporter, while interviewing a Marine Sniper, asked. "What do you feel when you shoot a terrorist?"
The Marine shrugged and replied, "Recoil."
