...a fan-made movie with the budget of $500

Definitely worth seeing.

Yeah, I heard about this from Screwattack.

Brilliant for only $500 budget.

Yeah I also think it's brilliant regardless of the budget.

A friend in reply to this also provided me with a link to another excellent fan-made movie about Halo

even thought it's pretty old, still awesome

Man these movies are just awesome. It would be cool if Valve made a Half-Life movie but since Gordon Freeman doesn't talk I'd find it very hard to see it from her perspective. And if it started from HL2 I think it'd confuse some people.

As far as I understood Gordon doesn't talk because we should "talk" instead... So that's how the devs gave freedom to our imagination. Maybe I'm wrong, I heard this opinion somewhere.

No, you're right. That's exactly why Gordon doesn't talk, at least that's what I read too lol. We are meant to be the protagonists. We are Gordon Freeman, that is who we are meant to be role-playing.

Which is why a real HL movie would be hard, because Gordon would have to be included at some point, you can't just leave the main protagonist out of the storyline. Especially for a HL1 movie where he would be the main part.

Even if they made the movie from the perspectives of Barney Calhoun or from Adrian Shephard (from Blue Shift and Opposing Force, respectively) that would still confuse people when watching HL2 as they'd probably wonder who the fuck Gordon Freeman is.

If it were to happen, I could see the director deciding to make Freeman mute and have other characters communicate for him. At least that would make him memorable.

Yeah, I can see that working to an extent. It's also not like the other game characters have not noticed you don't talk much, because Alyx makes a small mention of it at the beginning of the game.

This could imply that Gordon doesn't talk much regardless?
