Harry fucking Potter

Postby Spiderbot01 » Wed Jul 22, 09 11:12 pm

Now, I've been a fan of the harry potter books (1-4) and the films up until this point. I've ignored the woeful acting and enjoyed the stellar British cast.

However, I just sat through 2 and a half hours of Harry Potter 6. Many people complain that its shit because its not like the book. I;ve never read the book, I will never read the book, I think it is shit for an entirely different reason.

Can anyone tell me, other than dumbledore dying, what actually happens in that excrutiating period of 2 and a half hours?

Absolutely jack fucking shit. For an hour and a half, all we get is teen fucking angst, with Draco Malfoy going all Shinji on us, mixed in delightfully of course with the ridiculously hammy love interests between hermione and ron and random fucking clingy girl whose name i still don't know not to mention ginnyger pubes and harry. Would someone explain how a boy who clearly looks as if he is still dressed by his mother and has an unhealthy attachment to old men gets a girl? What the fuck even happened to Cho Chang?

I am very angry. In fact, the films only redeeming features are Helen Bonham Carter, who is fucking fit, even as bellatrix la strange, hermione growing up and an irish girl on fucking acid.

I apologise for the profanities, but it really, really, really made me rage.

Read the books you fucking pussy. I kid, I kid. I don't mind the movies but compared to the books they fail. I only really liked the first 3 movies and thought the 4th and 5th failed for me, at least.

Having a movie based off a book can't be easy to pull off. Novels are usually several hundred pages and trying to fit that into a 2 to 3 hour period whilst explaining everything is pretty fucking difficult. I also think some important aspects of the books were left out in the movie.

Though from what you've stated the 6th movie didn't do too bad. Honestly, it's in my understanding that the Horcruxes and Dumbledore falling out a window (DID THEY FUCKING SHOW THAT? IF NOT I WILL BE PISSED because that bit actually made me lol in the book) ARE the main plot ideas for the book.

Any romance twist is sorted out in the 7th book. So either way around for that or just read the book. I'm not really assed about any of the movies before the 7th book now (except for the 3rd) because I wanna see how the final movie turns out.

Yeah, all that happens in The Half Blood Prince is Dumbledore dies, and they find a Horcrux that isn't one.

I saw it last midnight and I must say that Harry Potter 6 is an erotic teenage drama which sucks so hard that people believe it's actually good.

Albeit, I'll probably watch it anyway at some point. Mostly for completion purposes.

I've never really liked any of the films in comparison with the films. The only redeming feature of the films as a whole is indeed Emma Watson's hole.

A few scenes were filmed at a Welsh beach, couple o' miles from my house, as well as the upcoming Robin Hood film.

I read books 1-7 and I don't think it's fair that you should stop reading the book anymore because it gets really interesting til the end. The movie tried to stay true to book 6 and I think that they did great compared to the previous films.

I read the first 4 books and watched the first three movies. Couldn't really be arsed to go ahead and kinda started to hate the series. 3 was p.cool. 2 was p. shit. 1 was HEY IT'S NEW AND A NEW-ish concept.

I had to force myself to finish the fourth book.

Never read any of the books, never seen any of the movies. I think I had the opportunity once or twice but after watching it for maybe 5 minutes, or more like staring at it, I changed channel. The most interesting piece of HP related products I've laid my eyes on was a fan video on Youtube where the main topic seemed to be a lovestory between Snape and Hermione, highly entertaining.

"Oooh there's a topic on Harry Potter, I hope it's in no way related to the new film that has just recently come out. I tell you what, I'll read every single post in the thread just to be sure its not."

Epic fail mate.

You might want to know that in the final movie there will be a real slaughter.

OOPS

For real? I thought he would end up trying to have kids with Ron, that one chick that hangs around them, gets fat, becomes a prostitute just to make ends meet, and Snape goes to the local bar each night before being tossed out for doing the corniest disco ever.
