On another note, just finished up Planet Terror and Death Proof and gotta say that the sheer amount of gore is pretty entertaining.

In parts yes. It's not constant gore but a good few sections in it have some relentless gore scenes.

Anyways, yeh IB is gory at some parts, and when it's gory, it's gory. Like brains and shit.

It's much less of a madness than Death Proof or Planet Terror imo.
