You are now trapped on Mars

Somehow, you managed to survive the bombardment of solar radiation and icy cold temperatures. You have an unlimited supply of food and sustenance, but no entertainment whatsoever except three songs and three movies of your choosing.

Which ones would you pick, and why? Keep in mind you're trapped here maybe the rest of your life... a completely desolate world millions of miles away from hope and civilization. These are going to have to be movies/songs you will never grow bored with.

This is purely a psychology experiment, note the distinction between these and "stuck-on-an-island"-type questions, which imprint a feeling of temporary desolation (you will be rescued soon enough, plus you're still on earth) - I want you guys to think about absolute, permanent isolation, and the possibility that you will never see a single living person or organism for the rest of your life.

As for movies... That's a really tough one, because there isn't ANY film I can watch 2 times in a row anyway...

Can I have a season of Prison Break please.

Well Derek,

Listened to those songs, and you've just now introduced me to a new band. Yawning Man are great!

All my music will be Electronica, more so Ambient Electronica these days alongside Deep House. I listen to different songs varying on the situation I'm in, and/or my environment around me. I am very deep and spiritual when it comes to music. Many people can't listen to a song if there are no vocals. However, I listen to music through tone, and melodic expression by the artist, which I find truly powerful.

It's incredibly hard to pick three ATB songs. When it boils down, ATB is my favorite artist. I began listening to him when I was around 8. Definitely the best electronica producer out there easily.

SONGS:

THIS SONG IS VERY VERY HAPPY.

Really want to hear the same artist over and over? You WILL get bored of it.

Well, no matter what 3 songs you pick, at some point you'd rather sit in silence anyway. No matter how awesome the tunes are.

Good call on porn from RECLAIMER tbh. That's probably pretty important too if you want to stay at least a bit sane, and waste some extra time

I picked slow, droning stoner music because, over time, as schizophrenia develops from the insane isolation, you begin to find some kind of hidden meaning from it... that, or high on some kind of substance. But yeah you will eventually get bored

Porn, fuck, I should have thought of that. :p

Remember that Electronica songs span longer than most. Average is usually 9 minutes for each song. The songs I have posted here are only samples, except for that one song featuring Jansoon, that is the shorter of the album.

I had trouble thinking of movies, so I'll have to edit that one a bit later.

I believe that anyone can find a hidden meaning in any song they enjoy. There are different ways of perceiving these 'meanings' you speak of, and mine would be melodic interpretation.

Godfather 1
Scarface
Not sure on the 3rd one. (maybe goodfellas to go with the collection :P)

MoH Mega Mix 2012 (Simply because it lasts for like 2 hours)
Unsure on the other songs.

Yall would get tired of those classics. LoTR I would watch the entire trilogy in order with intermissions for wank to crazy deathmetal, which would sky rocket my heartrate. Hopefully I'd be dead before Frodo makes his drawn out departure.
